Pretty sure all men strive for this at some point.
I was thinking about it the other day and realized I can't remember the last time I was clean shaven. I don't rock the full beard much (the 'stash portion isn't quite up to standards) but there has been some manner of hair growth on my face for 2-3 years at least.

And so the First denied their Mother,
in their fury, and so were cast out,
doomed children of Mother Dark.

while awesome, I doubt it would be popular with your lady.
I'm currently trying to convince my wife that its a good idea to let me extend the shave-window on this beard by a couple of weeks.
I'm heading to Alabama in late december and I figure I'll fit in better with some kind of facial hair.

I have no idea what Riker is doing in that very unfunny cartoon.
But nice completely obscure and random riker reference.
Rep?.........yeah sure.

Why thank you CF.
I just found it rather bizarre that Riker was in it, and it looks like he's watching intently...
Though I guess any poster become weird when you're having sex. Hell I have a Hot Fuzz poster above my bed with Army of Darkness on the door.

Team Riker !
I'm only on it a few more days unfortunately.
xmas eve is coming soon,
when beard is shaved so wife will swoon;
though if I could I surely would
keep my beard 'til next full moon!
yeah, I wrote poetry
fuck off...I'm still manly
beard proves it.
HA!

He needs convincing?? Is his beard patchy or something?

It must be. Or he actually believes his lame ass excuses about why he wont. Like the whole 'makes me look like a lumberjack' or 'unprofessional'. I think i'm going to dig up a complete series of TNG and watch it back to back to back until he bows to the awesomeness of the beard.

I to find it odd that he requires convincing...
As to looking unprofessional that's only if you don't take care of your beard. If he comes it and trims it properly than you not only look professional but wise.

Yeah well, I've pretty much tried everything but that-which-shall-not-be-threatened to get him to grow a beard, hasn't worked so far.

I knows. Funny how the more I think about this ball-faced defiance, the more it is starting a horrible domino effect where I'm finding fault with all of his otherwise pleasant traits.
Actually, now that I think of it, I've never dated a guy with a beard. Maybe I scare off the beards.

HAHAHAHAHA
I knew it
This proves it. You are actually the man, masquerading as a woman on the forum !!!!!
Men do not deny the beard. Men welcome it. Furthermore, women do not like star trek....therefore you are the man and your "husband" is the WOMAN!!!
Flawless. argument.
never again shall believe your claims of female gender-ness.

and before Mezla chimes in about liking star trek....I've already made my decision about her gender too!

My best friends wife really doesn't want his beard to grow, but just about everyone else thinks he looks great in it. So I have started a support group on Facebook for him to try and persuade her otherwise. It's just a little thing I can do to help him through this time...

I direct you to Judith Butler's writings on performativity. Gender is a construct, what you are talking about is biological sex. I've no idea about Jusentantntaktnantkantaktatakta, but Mezla is most certainly a woman.
