just a sidenote

movember is the most brilliant thing anybody has come up with in a long time.

I hope it catches on a lot more. I didn't entirely notice at first, but as the end of the month draws near, some dudes around my city are sporting some absolutely incredible moustachios...and you know its gotta be the movember thing cause they're almost all handlebar style.

I'm really tempted to keep my moustache permanently but I seriously think my wife would file for divorce if I did.

Is it against the rules to trim? This thing is starting to look a little more than hobo-ish.

Lol, the entire Aussie rugby team sported moustaches last weekend, it was pretty cool. It's slowly catching on here in SA, I'm pretty proud of my Movember stach and a couple of celebrities have also grown theirs.

In movember you aren't allowed to grow a beard, it has to be a moustache, which I think is just shooting themselves in the foot really cos there is no way I'm growing a tache.

Oh I forgot RE divorce-worthy facial hair infractions:

Even though Madame fiesta would certainly file for divorce as a result of a permanent moustache, the other day I was telling her how I was going to shave on xmas eve so that she could wake up next to a baby-faced Mr Fiesta on xmas morning.

Her raction was "noooooo you caaaant!"

I have no idea what to think anymore. Women of the forum, educate me and my beard as to her true thoughts!

While not female, I feel as though it is time to let you know. Women cannot resist prolonged exposure to the 'beard'. Its a scientific fact. Go look it up somewhere, something like 95% of women end up more attached to the beard in their lives than the beard growers. My girlfriend is a prime example, once the beard came I was told I was not allowed to shave it off. Makes me think the thing has psychic powers or something, convincing all those around it of its inherent awesomeness.

magnetic powers towards chicks perhaps?

you could call it -- and I'm coining a totally 100% undisputably new term here:

a CHICK MAGNET.

my god, I think we've stumbled upon a glorious truth this day.

Men rejoice, for your beards are indeed wanted!!!

Charity is the ultimate excuse.

@CF: trimming isn't against the rules, hell you started this.
I've trimmed and defined my beard, but I do that every few weeks, since it requires effort.

Could this revolutionise the way beards and general facial manliness are seen by women forever???

Of course I have no problem, my gf didn't want me to get rid of it, though very understanding because of the reasons. Stupid interview...

Wait till you are actually allowed to touch her Tiste, that will be make or break time for the beard, she'll either welcome it as something to hold onto or dislike the way it feels on her inside leg.

For what it's worth, I favour you with the Amish Metalhead look.

Or, alternatively, you're just like me: Dick ugly without without a proper facial rug to cover up the worst.

RIP beard, I hardly knew ye. 7/04/09-1128/09.

I went in for the trim. It was too long, hadn't taken any length off of it the entire I was growing it. Never trimmed a beard before, mucked it up. Had to abort the whole thing. I am bald faced now, and less of a man.

+rep because the full neck beard says 'I will rip out your throat with my teeth if you look at me funny'

Although the haircut makes me think of larry, moe, and curly for some reason.

@CI - so wait, you went with the half-a-goat?
