We are also staying at the Palmer. I work with two native chicagoians(is that right?) and they indicate that it is within walking distance of the place with Sue the t-rex and the art building. Anywhere else we need to see while we are in chicago?

The Field Museum is GIGANTIC. It will take you well over 3 hours to explore the whole thing at a fast pace and that's an incredible amount of walking.

I would suggest not packing both of them into the same day. Unless you're one of those ultramarathon walking people.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

I will be cabbing it next weekend. There was that time we went drinking at the Duke of Perth, then on to the Bar on Buena... I was a total wreck after that...
How many fucking people do I have to hammer in order to get that across.

Tell her that I will personally guarantee her safety from Vengy. Because Lauren will kill him if he tries anything like that!

I wouldn't do the whole of any Museum. Think of it like the Louve. Just see what you have time for that way you will have a reason to go back.

GF would much rather sit in the pub with us drinking than go shopping.

As a marine biologist I'm a bit biased, but I'm surprised nobody has mentioned The Shedd Aquarium, since it's really close to the Field Museum, and it was also a major scene in another of the Dresden Files books. When i saw it back in the late 90's, it was a fantastic aquarium (i volunteered there when i was working in Chicago). While not as huge as many newer aquaria, they concentrated on getting the displays right, and scientifically accurate rather than only going for the flashy species to draw the crowds. I can only hope it is still as good.

Also, the little peninsula that the Shedd Aquarium and the Adler Planetarium are on, is a great spot for getting pictures of the Chicago Skyline without having to go out on a boat. If you are out as far as The Field Museum, then definitely head over to take some photos of Chicago.

Oh I agree. The whole area around the Field is fantastic. Right across the street you have Soldier Field. It is a great place to see the sky line.

Well after the Field you could go and see the Art musse or the sears(willis) tower. All of those places are with in walking distance of the palmer. Plus Grant park and the Bean are very very close.

altering plans now. Attempting to purchase flights for sat morning and sun night.

Must get picture in front of Sue. Exploring staying at the same hotel as those guys so we can get trashed.

Also... Vengy, bring the wifey (Lauren?) as I am bringing the GF. Morgy, please no hookers in training sorority girls.

Fixed. Please. I'm a GDI, and my contract is up.

Fixed. (To add the part that the drunk forgot. The actually saying "fixed" part.)

I'm nearly as terrified as I am excited for this. Actually, slightly more terrified than excited. It's a strange brew. Driving up with a stranger, drinking with strangers, and staying with strangers, with no control at all on my own. Now, I've done all three of those before, but at least one party was not a stranger. Oh well, you only live once.

Rodeo, you are going to do this for a MONTH? You have medicine balls sized testicles, sir.

The doc said the penicillin would help with that.

But yeah, I'm fucking terrified too. But I figure spending my 25th birthday in London and environs is as good way to spend it as any other!

I might have to buy a flask for this event. I can never trust drinking amounts and times to others.

Vengy-poo,

What time are we meeting on Sat? 3pm? Later? Earlier? Also where is this brewery, and do you have a reservation for 10-12 people?

So far this is what I have

10 am - Bubba arrives in Chicago via train - Morgy picks up Bubba and the y go have consensual sex until

12 pm to 1 pm (give or take 1 hour) - Bent and HD arrive in Chicago and contact Morgy and Bubba - massive all male malaz orgy until

3 pm - Bent and bubba check into hotel - Possibly with Morgy and HD in tow.

Possibly with Venge in tow as well, not sure what venge's plans are just yet.
Assuming Obi has same hotel - possibly have him checking in around the same time.
THIS IS HOW I ROLL BITCHES!!!
