Bah, I guess I"ll write one post before I collapse:
I am still suspicious of Telas. So he wasn't signalling Korlat, but he could have still been dropping hints for those who would see them, even if that person was not online at the time. Perhaps I got baited, Telas hoping that would let him skate through the game after Korlat turned up inno.
Notice how quickly he came on and put the focus on Alkend.
Ok, I'm going to be unconcious for a few hours.

I'm exhausted, I'm in my 38th hour without sleep. I'm going to bed, but first some thoughts. I think the case on Alkend is interesting, I am certainly going to give it some more thought. However, at the moment I don't have any coherent thoughts on the subject. As for Telas, I think there's a strong possibility that he's a legit symp and he fake symped Korlat to...welll...get us to do what we did...
Now for blessed sleep. Good night.

I do see merit there Thyr. I had been looking at Alkend after the whole You/ Amp thing because, as you say, literally as soon as I
posted that I viewed Amp as the scumier of the two then BOOM Alkend jumps ship to try to go with the lynch that seems most likely to take place.
Plus that was his third vote of day 1. All over the place to be sure.
On the other hand, Kalse's reactions are a bit over the top for something little. Sees his name on a list of suspects and overreacts.
"These are not the Klingons you are looking for?" Hehe, maybe.
I think that both display some scummy behavior, Alkend may be playing for himself but trying to do anything for the day 1 lynch makes me want to

I don't agree with this. Wanting a day 1 lynch is in itself not a bad thing. It's when your putting that ahead of everything else it becomes dangerous. And 3 votes on day 1 is hardly an impressive amount.

And don't get me started on Ampelas. That guy has some serious deficiencies. I saw him the other day wearing nothing but a leopard patterned thong and purple riding boots

This thread is just a long string of awful puns.
Anyways, I've been bored by this thread for long enough. I'm leaving for the night.

1-Telas, I have several problems with your rebuttal. First of all, it is clear from the OP that Klingons were somehow beamed aboard while the ships shields were down, so they WERE beamed aboard with the refugees. How are you suggesting they arrived if not by beaming? You know something we dont?
2-Also, who said anything about the difference in quarters between enlisted men and officers? I don't see how that fits with anything. Again, it sounds like you know something we dont.
3-Finally, I don't know if 2:00 has any significance or not, but you used it in two different ways, which is why it was interesting. Setting a microwave to 2:00 means "2 minutes". Then you say 2:00 (as in 2 o'clock) is the time to cook soup. So you use it twice, but differently.
As for the rest, obviously the best signalling would be found in innoculate conversation. And of course I was involved as you say, but that just helps it look more innocent, not to mention if I were scum I wouldn't be calling attention to it...
Of course, I could be wrong about all this, but if you are really inno, you've managed to put together a set of posts with suspicious enough content to convince me otherwise.

Not that it matters now, since you can all see that we were messing around. Nothing scummy at play there, but I'll address these points quickly (numbers added was me).
1- Ok my mistake, I got the impression the the explosion from the OP was the Klingons breaching the hull.
2- Had nothing to do with the situation going on. Think of it this way- hypothetically speaking Captain Kirk would have nicer quarters than say unknown crewman #2.
3- still no significance to it. I also do not see myself as having used it in two different ways. I'd ask for others opinions on it but it doesn't matter now anyway.
Anyway Korlat is dead now, and was a crewmember. Like I said, I didn't know the faction so my rebuttal was not a defense for Korlat, though apparently it should have been. My guess would have been inno but I had really flimsy reasoning with all the info we had to go on at that point (thus my no vote).
Well, I've got some work to get to in a location that does not get internet (which actually helps me focus hehe) so I'll be back in 5-6 hours.
Attention: The above quote is the scummiest post of the game.
1) Congrats, we just finished one of the most complicated games in Mafia History that involved multiple moderator on-thread lectures for shitty players failing to do what they were told and to read the rules. And now you are basically saying you didn't read the OP (it isn't exactly hard to understand the setup if you read it).
2) You just hedged your bet, the single scummiest thing any one person can do in forum mafia. Basically, you just gave an "Oops" or "Aw shucks" and kicked the dirt sheepishly by saying that you should have defended Korlat.
IT
Should we have lynched him? Well obviously not from the point of view of town vs scum numbers, but how many games do we almost lynch someone and then spend the next 3 in-game days talking about whether or not they should be lynched for almost being lynched?
Boo-fucking-hoo, Korlat died.
Vote Telas
And I have already caught up on the thread so I know this will look OMGUS. Head's up play by you to try and early vote me before I vote you, however. Clearly you realized I'm the smartest player in the game and needed to do something before I came after you.

*GIANT QUOTE SNIP*
In the end, Kalse and Alkend stand out as my two main candidates for scum. In the end, even though I hold that Alkend definitly do not play for anyone but himself, Kalse seems the more suspicious of the two. Alkend seems somewhat daft, and definitly unwilling to play this game as part of the inno team, but that alone does not make him scum. The way kalse's been playing, and how he reacted to being called out. To me that is much more scummy than Alkend's play.

Ding ding ding, congrats, you just earned my vote for smartest player of the game.
I'll be nice and frank. This game is boring to me.
Maybe it's because it's not spycraft. Maybe it's because the limited time I've had with it so far has been a bevy and spam and useless discussion. Or maybe it's just because I think I see things that nobody else ever sees.
So I'm just kind of "playing" the game, but I'm not really being super helpful. That's totally my bad, or whatever, but that's why I'm glad Korlat got lynched. Because it moved the game forward.

Tulas- two words for you. Tunnel and vision. You've latched on to me, we get it. By all means continue to be suspicious of me but consider the other possibilities too.
Honestly at this point, whoever the actual symp is has got to be praising you and me, he just gets to chill while we go all McCarthy on the thread. It's more dangerous this way because symp gets
to act normal and relax, allays suspicion on him until later.

hehe you are correct that I would say OMGUS, but irrevelent.
1- duly noted.
2- I picked up something in one of Korlat's posts that led me to believe he was innocent. I did not defend him because I saw him reading the thread but after I logged off he failed to respond.
However, I will not reveal it because I technically feel that it was going against some rules. Specifically stuff from the role pms. Sort of a hey, this was in my pm and if you recognize it then you must be on my team. I don't want to play the game like that, it has happened in other games and it ruins it.
Sounds bad but whatever. This is causing too much mayhem for the Enterprise, and helping the Klingons way too much.
edit: yeah, I got delayed when writing my reply. Got in trouble with the RAs for a prank we pulled so had to do some explaining.

yeah I get it. Like I said, it doesn't sound great, but I caught something in his posts and I saw the same thing in another,
still-living persons posts, though this person hasn't been on during the weekend IIRC. Do I think they are innocent too? Likely, but it isn't
in anyones best interests to be calling out who the RI are.

Back, and having thought about things, I like Thyr's logic the best, and Telas has finally given a response that sort of puts me at ease. Alkend is a little overboard, but common, read the OP please people.
Vote Kalse
And although I apologize to Korlat, I too am happy we got a lynch so at least the game moves forward and we are closer to understanding what's going on. I hate those "almost lynched" situations and the limbo they cause on subsequent days.

I have no time now as to go to work but I will be back before day times out. A few things I will say is that the post I wrote when voting Amp was when I was almost asleep and so not expressed very well, and it's because I am inno that I was being very relaxed when I was posting and if you lynch me you are only helping team scum.

i think voting for kalse on the back of thyrs case is the best choice of action at the moment, but the quick vote and unvote by alkend had me thinking that alkend was signalling thyr and thyr just missed it. Very low probability of that though in all likelihood but it is a suspicion i had when reading thyrs case on kalse. I will be about though, so i want to hear kalses defense, if its good i may switch to alkend, who has been in the centre of too much this game and is playing very strangely. they arent making any real case but are making a lot of noise.
