Mother Dark and Father Light

Yedan and Twilight had a very interesting conversation after they found the Shore and all the trapped Liosans in the wall of light. Yedan speculates that when Mother Dark and Father Light bound themselves together, they also bound their fates. So when Mother Dark turned away, Father Light had to as well. Father Light had to abandon his children and they became lost, but the Andii escaped thru Shadow.
Then we have Mael talking to Kilmadaros about Rake's death bringing Mother Dark back. They say "Mother Dark - no longer faces away, and as with Darkness, so to it is with... Light." "What has he forced upon us?" "A final accounting..."
Since Yedan guessed it, and Mael has rather confirmed it, I think we can expect a major incursion of Liosan into the fight. If they fought the 'Justice' wars with the FA's before, maybe they will be useful in the final fight. Or maybe they will make it worse?
What do you think the reappearance of the two original players means?

A great question. I think we're going to see a bit of an emergence from the Tiste Andii (no longer so bent on self loathing and destruction which should make Nimander's job ruling them much easier. We're also going to see an introduction to the Tiste Liosan (at least, more than just the crazy fanatics from DHG). We'll probably find out who Father Light is (the extent of his power's anyways), and where he's been all these years.
I'm thinking that having them both back will balance three aspects of Chaos>
The Jade Giants that are about to create mayhem, and the Otataral Dragon that's about to be unleashed, as well as the surge of FA about to appear.
Hopefully MD and FL just come in, pwn the CG, jade giants and all the other baddies in the Malazan World, before reviving the Bridge Burners to kick Laseen off her throne and stick WJ where he's always belonged.

Ah, I see derailing is still alive and well and by smilies no less, some things never change.

It's amusing how pathetically crap at fighting the Liosan are. Everywhere they turn up they just get battered.

Years of isolation? Arrogance? Chance encounters with powerful people rather than normal folk? XD

If the Liosan do return, I think we'll see Leoman heading up the charge. Which could make them quite effective...

Why would leoman have anything to do with them?

L'oric asks QoD to find him a protector for KT. She agrees, and that "shaping" the protector will take time. In tBH, she snatches Leoman and Dunsparrow out of a fire-y city "for mysterious purposes." Not iron-clad evidence, but since finding a protector for KT is the only sneaky plan we've seen mentioned for the QoD, it's the strongest possibility. And it's parsimonious with having L'oric present in that scene as well.
