i dont think we will get a lynch unless it is silchas today. i would be interested to see a case on korvalain from kaschan, but there is as yet no vote. There seem to be a lt of people giving reasons why they arent voting for silchas, but there havent been any real counter cases and a lot of it as a consequence comes across as half hearted and seems more like going through the motions than an actual defense.

Ok, I am here catching up. Done a quick skim through as there is a lot to catch up on. General first impressions:
The story driven aspect that PS alluded to: Why does everyone assume it was a failed vig on Bargy? The scene where the little boy handed a billfold to the man read, to me, like the boy picked someone's pocket and was passing on information. Seems more likely to me it was a day 1 find, rather than a day 1 vig attempt.

Ya, I haven't been vigged. But since its a field research game I figure there are a lot of vigs floating about, and since there are several people on this board who really HATE spam I figured that they may vig the spammers regardless of other info. Hence why I'm not spamming. I am also not fond of the spam. Its tasteless this game, and I'm not interested in participating.

As far as Omtose's case on me:
'He pointed out something he thought was suspicious, but didn't vote. He must be laying a foundation."
I think you are reaching. I saw something that stood out. Others saw it too. I just happened to be one of the first. Any particular reason why you have come to Ruin's defense twice now? I find that suspicious on day 1.. though a bit blatent.

Man, is it ever difficult to defend yourself when your computer freezes every time you try to type up a long defense post.
Bottom line: what I said in my original post was a standard logical leap from what we were given in the OPs. To me it seems like I am being voted for one of the few people to actually follow Tapper's directive and read the OPs carefully, and in my opinion that is a very poor way for the rest of you to play. All my posts thus far have not indicated any evidence of scum, but only that I am observant. This is a bad lynch train and I really feel like you guys are shooting yourselves in the foot...which I guess is nothing new for this crowd.
There are 8 people on as I type this. I am not the only viable lynch target, but I am the worst one. People really should be looking at who formed this train on me under such weak evidence. I feel a little cliche say that, since all day 1 lynchees say that, but it's true. I just don't think there's even a remotely viable case on me. I can't figure out why the rest of you can't see that, and it so it seems so obvious to me that you should be looking at the people acting dense enough to actually vote me.

Oh, and since its the most likely lych we're gonna get,
vote Silchas
Also, while I noticed the mention of scum as syndicate, nowhere in the OP do I recall mention of syndicate infiltration of our teams. PS only recently gave us that info, and Silchas seemed to have it from the start. Thus I suspect he's a scum that has infiltrated a team.

actually it was because of what bargie said after the scene about haha viggers or something that implied that he had lost a bp. if you look at rule three it states that all actions are performed immeadiately, so it must have been either kaschan or barhgast involved in that action for the scene to have been there. given the scene it also ties in with the previous ones i think barghast was in, in regard to the main character portrayed. it did seem like info, so perhaps barghast actually did a find on someone? but then it definitely looks like barghast struck up a temporary relationship with spite earlier in the day.
if you look at the points structures, various factions gain points from forming lover relationships, so it stands to reason cwrtain players have that ability.

For the record, these are from the OPs:
Throughout the game, lover links will be established, changed andbroken. These can be between different factions and between spies andscum. Be careful what you reveal.
and:
“Unfortunately, we had no team on the island. Gremio would never havemade that speech had we kept the leash tight on him, madame.”
“What is done, is done. No team. Infiltrators?”
I am most suspicious of Emur and Galain, as they voted for me after Omtose pointed out that first quote, which is really all I was trying to say: don't trust the people you are communicating with. It says it in the OP. Clearly none of you read it, so I was correct in my decision to reiterate it.
This lynch on me is lazy and misguided.

Oh, and I might as well
vote Emurlahn
for the above-mentioned reason and so that someone else has more than one vote. Perhaps it will make the sheeple less single-minded.

Well I'm back for a bit and just finished another giant catch-up. I agree with Lio - I think the boy-handing-wallet scene was someone doing a day vig. Likewise, the couple hooking up for dinner sounds like a (possibly successful) attempt to create a lovers connection. I'd suspect these little day scenes are indicative of day abilities being used and we should analyze the posts around them more thoroughly as they come.

OK, while I do not want to interfere with lynches, I would like to correct this view. From the sign-up thread, which, as I said, should have been read with the utmost attention:

While the game is scum versus town, town is also divided in 4 factions, of which only 1 can win. Moreover, the scum hides amongst the different town factions. To determine which town faction wins, we use a point scoring system (see below for the clarification). This is new to Mafia, afaik, and some of you may hate it. So be it, but I wanted to try this.

Also, I wouldn't worry too much about getting the 500 posts by the end of day - we can go up multiple levels at a time and we'll easily have that by the end of night. Surely you aren't saying you have amazing abilities that you need to have tonight at level 2??!

The lynch on you is lazy and I think that I will remove my vote for a while. In the end though you are past the point of no return and are most likely going to be the person lynched on day one.

i dont think its as simple or as clear cut as you are making it, and certainly not in terms of scum leading the train. the syndicate thing i probably should have noticed, but when the team names are posted and it is spies and scum thats what sticks out. others though (more than just one or two) saw nothing wrong with you noticing this and i admit that i must have just missed it. the knowledge though you seemed to possess before clarification about the scum mechanics though do lead me to believe you are scum. even reading the op its a bit of a jump to come to that conclusion straight away unless you had some extra knowledge within your role pm.
some things to me just dont add up here, and i think its a mixture of lack of knowledge and possible mod failings in such a complicated scenario.
1 - why announce in the rules the structure of role pms when a fake reveal or a real reveal result in modkill? i bring this up as the only example of where syndicate is used.
2 - why would ALL the scum require the nationality of a town faction if in the cf they come back as scum? (this is regard to a post made by pathshaper about scum being dispersed between the factions and the cf info given as well)
clearly you, silchas, made the leap before the back and forths with the mods. Even after all that i can only guess that there are symps in this game and thus cf with a town nationality, but even though it says there are infiltrators in that scene in the op, it doesnt give specifics of what that means. and unless you can convince me that you didnt know this due to being one, i wont remove my vote.

Right, plus this. I knew there was something else that was making me think along those lines, but I couldn't find it because I didn't re-read the sign-up thread, thinking that all info from that was copied over to the game thread, when for some reason it wasn't.
