That's Danish for "Ignore All My Posts Outside Book Discussion." I know, the Danish language is complex.

Welcome Ben!
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Hiya,

I have been around a while and been meaning to post here for ages but just keep forgetting
Was first attracted by the Mafia boards to be honest, but Sir Thursday has been lending me the books and I am now up to Reaper's Gale, probably my favourite book so far, because it has both the Malazans and Tehol, who is just awesome!

I was one of the first to catch on to STD as a shortening, just because it's funny how ironic that name is... unless he has a secret life I don't know about :o

Hello all
New here to the forum but must say that ive been taken completely by storm by the series so havent even thought of checking for forums online. These books are more intense than any movie ive ever seen and has had me nailbiting, shivering, on the brink of tears, and laughing my ass off in hysterical fits. At this point after 6 months of intense reading and a couple of pitstops with other books ive just recieved toll the hounds with the mail as ive realised that children of hurin and R. scott Bakers "the darkness that comes before" wont give me any satisfaction untill ive read every available SRL and ICE books out there.
I was glad that, unlike others, i stumbled upon this thread almost instantly. you guys look and sound like the maniac that i am so looking forward to getting you all hammered and drunk under the table.
I wont bite, at least not out of anger ;-)
Thanx for having me
