You change by joining a group.
For example, if you play in the mafia someone will add you to High House Mafia, if you hate the errant, you may be recruited into LHTEC etc.

The groups doesn't actually have any specific meaning besides showing that the members is involved in certain games or projects or that they hold some kind of authority.

The only two with are just random nonsense is Team Handsome, which is more or less defunct, and The Abyssmal Army, which is a sad pool of rejects and psycophants.

EDIT: Oh yeah, LHTEC... are they still around? I thought they admitted their error in judgement long ago and disbanded. :p

Well, I can't remmeber who was in Team handsome.
Broodys gone.
Dancer's still around somewhere as Caldanbrood II, iirc.
And i've seen flawed occaisionally on forums.

Anyone i've forgotten?
Is it still possible to check who's a member of what?

As for LHTEC, well, they had a troublesome war iirc :p

Did anyone ever get around to setting up the WLTEF group?
Would've been funny to see which ended up with more members :p

Theloman Toblerone is also TH member.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Please ignore Apt's comments regarding the Abyssmal Army! They army it growz daily! We are going to take over the world, all while subsisting on a healthy diet of beer and bacon! If you want to joing just go to any of the Abyssmal Army posts and let us know you want in! We've never rejected anyone but Apt, hence his bitterness! He keeps hanging around though, hoping we'll invite him to join. Most members of the army have cat avatars but it's not completely necessary. Welcome to the boards!

Make sure however, if you want to join the abyssmal army, that first you must post a dog pic there, or they won't let you in.
Any dog pic will do, but they particularly appreciate those that involve evidence of dogs being better than cats.

For example, if you posted a pic like this:

Posted Image

They would most certainly invite you.

Right it would be a good idea to ignore that blasphemous advice from Grief! Many people on this board are jealous of the greatness that is the Army!

*sighs* Of course! You won't be the first and I'm sure you won't be the last! We'll just post a pic of lord Abyss flying through the air, about to feast on your brainz in response! These sad attempts at ruining us do nothing, we continue to grow and thrive!

By the way, "All the cool kids" is code for kool-aid drink of doom! And don't listen to Tehol, she was just in the Caribbean for 3 weeks so her brain is fried.

Wat? My brain is not fried thank you very much! I just have a lovely tan, jet lag and a hangover that's probably going to last for the next few weeks! New members should ask themselves whether they would be wise to trust someone with rediculous avatars such as yours Hoosier! That and you did have an unhealthy obsession with one Patrick Swayze!

All new members should also pop in to the Watching Trickster Pub for a drink by the way! We'll get your initiation underway with one of DW's gut destroying concoctions!

A big welcome to all the new members that I haven't previously welcomed to the fold... Have fun, look around; you're bound to find something of interest.

If you'll accept a word of advice from an grizzled old board member; were I any one of you, I'd put off joining any of the strange cults that multiply around this place, like maggots on a corpse, until you're entirely sure which one of them has members who share the same set of symptoms that characterise your own brand of psychological illness...

Team Handsome are very obviously deluded, The Abyssmal Army probably have a hairball problem and I've yet to work out precisely what the purpose of LHTEC actually is...

Just saying. :p
If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do. If some one maintains that two and two are five, or that Iceland is on the equator, you feel pity rather than anger, unless you know so little of arithmetic or geography that his opinion shakes your own contrary conviction. … So whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants.
