Mezla definitely isn't me, if she was a figment of my imagination or vice versa we've both got very vindictive subconscienceses

I'm pretty certain Tiste was likening my real self to chunk from the Goonies.

Tiste wishes he was as pretty as me.

Cougar has it on all accounts, though it's not your prettiness I am jealous of its more the magnificent mane you have sprouting from your chest... ;)

@Mezla: Thanks for the advice although the nothels you have listed seem to be away over my limit. I thought Manchester would be cheaper! But thx for the effort.

I am looking at The Hatters 50 Newton Street as a possible place and Hilton Chambers 15 Hilton St. Any thoughts?

Perusing the hotels' of Manchester I came across our old YHA Manchester. Oh the memories! Waking up to Illy's bearded visage asking me if I am awake...I certainly was after that

Having never needed a hotel in Manchester, I have no clue how much it costs! I think a lot of stag parties come to Manchester for the weekend (unfortunately) so it has driven the prices up. I don't know those individual places but Hilton St and Newton St are just off the Northern Quarter which is the most trendy part of the city. It has really scrubbed up recently. I think it will be fine. There are lots of nice cheap eating places around there if you have time to wander around and it is a good live music area. The Night and Day Cafe is a bit legendary locally. Most importantly, they are very close to Kro Piccadilly which is the bar that has become the traditional starting point of any Manky Meetup!

Unless you are a bit of a piker and turn up two hours late once we've moved on, with a load of contraband donuts and some shit excuses about being ill.

You cannot make fun of a lady who turns up with a giant box of Krispy Kremes. It's just not right.

@Mezla: I was just checking if any of the hotel names brought up warning signs on you scanner. Like here be lots of drunk polish workers or remember to check the toilet seat for used syringes.

There's few things funnier than a used syringe beneath a recycling poster.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Hetan posting as Mal : We've just got a really awesome deal for two nights at the Atrium Bridge Street Apartments through laterooms.com. Just 10 minutes to Picadilly Gardens. Have a look at laterooms.com, Trem, before you book anything. Last year our one night in Manchester cost around £99.00 I think (it was a VERY central hotel, but we did book quite late. I would recommend anyone who is looking for a hotel to book asap as it seems that Saturday night is getting pretty busy.

Who in Manchester is willing to give me a spot to crash for a few days for the Meetup?

I can pay in tall tales and broken furniture.

I'll rep the old school quote on yourself.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Woah! We're really upping the number of females this year. All these civilians are going to wake up suffering post-SFF stress syndrome.

Although, you do all have a mission to persuade Mr PigDog to start reading the series. He gave up after 1 chapter of GotM.

Mr Mezla and now Mrs Cougar... Wow, the (presumably) saintly other halves will be in attendance...
If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do. If some one maintains that two and two are five, or that Iceland is on the equator, you feel pity rather than anger, unless you know so little of arithmetic or geography that his opinion shakes your own contrary conviction. … So whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants. Bertrand Russell
