If DZ is challenged and an underling is available, the underling fights and dies automatically even if the challenger dies too. when no underlings are present, duels resolve as usual for DZ.

Key fact that is not revealed in the game thread rules -> when there is a no duel as a result of the duel, the challenger (who is the only one to find out about it) is not allowed to reveal it on-thread.

So, a question about the duel mechanic. If I ask to duel someone, and it results in no duel, is this result just PM'd to me? Or does the person I want to duel also informed? Or does this become common knowledge on thread?

If a duel happens, obviously that becomes common knowledge, but I"m curious about what happens with "no duel".

If it's a "Draw" then it is revealed on-thread but if its "No Duel" then no duel occurs and no one is told anything except for the challenger is told that no duel occured. Hmm, I should probly go specify that in the rules...

The skilled officers I was referring to are your under-officers within your own army so they are part of you. That doesn't preclude other generals from knowing you, however.

Liu Bei isn't in the role list - can I assume he's town?

How many times a day may we duel?

When you say win, does that mean Victory or rout? Or does it change depending on who I challenge?

Would revealing who you are about to duel in threat count as Meta - Olar has a good plan but it will be a little unfair on us scum if he's allowed to use it.

I was referring to Victory, but it could also include Rout.

He would indeed be town.

Once a day, including either as opponent or challenger.

You can claim what you like before you duel. Don't say anything once you have sent the PM in until you get a reply from PS.

If I challenge someone, but then a third person challenges me, will the duel fail because I have already dueled that day?

Yes. They will get a no duel message and you won't even know about it

Can I put provisionals in for duels? As in arrange to duel someone first thing in the morning, even if I'm asleep then?

Nope. You may issue orders to your army to do stuff while you sleep in your tent, but to duel you have to actually be there yourself!

How many times a day may we duel?

When you say win, does that mean Victory or rout? Or does it change depending on who I challenge?

Would revealing who you are about to duel in threat count as Meta - Olar has a good plan but it will be a little unfair on us scum if he's allowed to use it.

I was referring to Victory, but it could also include Rout.

You can claim what you like before you duel. Don't say anything once you have sent the PM in until you get a reply from PS.

If I challenge someone, but then a third person challenges me, will the duel fail because I have already dueled that day?

Yes. They will get a no duel message and you won't even know about it

Can I put provisionals in for duels? As in arrange to duel someone first thing in the morning, even if I'm asleep then?

Nope. You may issue orders to your army to do stuff while you sleep in your tent, but to duel you have to actually be there yourself!

I didnt think I'd be allowed too Hope the timing works out then. Provisional NK on Olar please.

I shall duel silanah and shall duel as often as possible from now on. Since only one person can kill me it's pretty safe and I either find scum or kill innos

I feel kinda bad doing it day one, but hey. I was going to choose Olar, Okaros or Korbas, since they're the top posters, but at least two of them have dueled today I would think. So sil seems reasonably safe and I dont like that avatar.

I know absolutely nothing about the setting But being the greatest warrior in the land (on the greatest horse in the land) seems to have its benefits.

Just read chapter 5 from wikipedia (it's an awful translation but you get the general gist of it). Lu Bu comes to Hu Lao Pass and a handful of officers from the allied side all come out and get their asses handed to them.
