Hahaha yeah I live next to it on Allensbank Road. I walk through it to get to my church (the big building with the flags opposite the hospital...)
I actually meant the Heath pub at the end of my road, but hey if you ever see me, yell at me. :-p

Living in England would really freak me out. Then I would actually end up meeting you people, and the illusion of normalcy sanity would be shattered. :)

@ Gamet, calm down fella ! my offices are not IN UHW but they are close but don't worry i'm not a stalker....,

Tiste on the other hand probably is so stay on point ! :p

Tiste, I have drunk in the Heath occasionally in the past, however I prefer the Crwys..., less corpse sniffers and it's closer to town :p

Now all the friends that you knew in school they used to be so cool, now they just bore you.

...Crwys...

No vowels - surely an illegal word!

I lived in Pontypridd for 18 months and never worked out how to pronounce the next village up - Ynycybwl. Wtf?

The Crwys is a pub in Cardiff, you lived in Ponty for 18 months ? Brave English person ! :p

I currently live in the oasis of culture that is Pontypridd, the village you are trying to pronounce is Ynysybwl
( UN-ISS-UH-BULL) which is up the road a bit next to Penrhwceiber :p

@ Epiph, sorry for completley derailing your thread ! But you should come to Wales and learn the lingo, it's easy, honest :p

No worries. It was bound to happen. Sigh. I still can't decide and my friend in Glasgow is sloooooooooooooooow to respond with her opinion (she's most likely coming with me where ever, so it matters).

I know it's a time share and everything, but the UK in November? Just suck up the cost and go to Italy instead. :p

The UK resorts are all cozier and less...mega resort than any of the other places in Europe. And all the ones that are available are not in desirable locations.

Well, reservations have been made & airfare bought. The winner: the Lake District, from Nov 29 to Dec 6. In the end, it came down to which place had the cheapest airfare, and since I'm going to Paris too, it was all about the multidestination ticket.

Now true planning can commence. Anyone have any advice on walks/hikes/sightseeing/food/etc?
