I know I asked this a long time ago, but the membership has largely changed since then methinks.
What's your alcoholic drink of choice? I'm hoping for both general and specific answers, i.e., I like beer and my favorite brand(s) are......
In the US, I like Fat Tire and Spotted Cow as my favorite beers. In Japan, it's all Asahi Super Dry baby. I'm always trying new sake and shochu as well. Regional tastings are wonderful in Japan.
I enjoy red wine (never white, I've never liked the taste) and usually go for value when buying - i.e. good reds from S. Africa and S. America.
I'm partial to the single malt, and Jameson is a favorite blend whiskey of mine. Can't stand bourbon, although Old Crow is drinkable. I am also fond of a good brandy and a tummy warming port. Fiddler's Rusty Gauntlet is actually something I'll make for myself on occasion.
I almost never drink any of the other hard liquors, except for margharitas (tequila) and an occasional Belvedere martini (vodka) on occasion.
AND YOU???

My personal favourite beer is probably Heineken, or a very delicious brand called Iki beer, but that's almost impossible to get here. Although I usually drink shandies these days
I've stopped drinking spirits, but wine is my drink of choice; rose, especially, and occasionally a nice red. My favourite roses are probably Mateus, Blacktower, or Bend in the River... Cheap, and delicious lol.

I like ales a lot - I've tried as many as I can justify as being new and untested but whether or not they've been delicious has been ruined by getting too drunk to remember. The makers of Hobgoblin do some fine ales, though, and there's a regional one that I'm getting to like more and more called DOOM BAR which is a fantastic name. Oh, Abbots Ale and Bishop's Finger are probably what I've bought again the most.
Lagers? Eh, they're tolerable, and a lot cheaper and more available than the better stuff, so I usually drink a lot of them for rehydration and looking awesome wandering around with a four pint pitcher to myself, as well as blagging drinks into the pitcher for later. Shit lager goes XXXX > Carlsberg > Carling > Becks = Stella = Heineken > Liquid Excrement >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Fosters. The BEST is Tuborg, which is delicious. San Miguel is pretty nice actually.
Can drink white wine, can drink rose, don't drink red wine due to the magical powers of teleportation it gives me.
I don't drink enough spirits anymore to bother listing them - some vodka, some tequila, Apple Sourz is less alcoholic than water for fuck's sake but none of the other categories fit it, absinthe when I hate myself and want to die, rum for good times and The Purple Pint Of Power for birthdays and special occasions. I miss uni.

Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Not a big drinker. Last time I was actually drunk was on my honeymoon 3 years ago. I had been drinking Hwite Russians all day, they ran out of cream so I switched to black russians, and that was the end of me.
I'll have a glass of white wine every so often, red gives me heartburn.
A week ago I drank some dominican rum with pineapple juice and enjoyed it.
Alcohol just isn't my thing.

I don't really understand why I don't like white wine. There aren't many flavors in this world that I don't care for, and I love red wine. But, whenever I try a new white though, one sip is enough. Bleah.

Sorry, I was just so disgusted with RLY's reply that I forgot what thread this was
I don't really have any particular favorites.
Beer is good. Unfortunately I'm not a wealthy student so I can't afford drinking a lot of high end stuff. But I do enjoy Erdinger and Franziskaner when I feel a need to splurge.
I do don't like wine... at all... but if you put a free bottle of the stuff in front of me, it will eventually disappear.
I like drinking shots, but I'm not really into drinks. I like drinks, all though I feel like a girl drinking them, but if I'm not conscious of how much liquer I am ingesting, bad things usually occur. As the Malazanites who attended the BBQs and tasted some of Trems stuff can attest, Denmark has a lot of delicious bitters you can drink as shots. And all though I can't stand the stuff for some reason when ever we're out drinking we always end up chugging down dozens of Fernet Branca shots.
If I should mention a favorite drink I would say White and Black Russians and Jæger/Vodka/Redbulls. I can get completely smashed on that stuff if it's free.

Mainly i drink cider. I dont like the taste of beer at all.
Generally i drink Strongbow as its the easiest to get hold of cheaply, if i want to treat myself though Green Goblin is probably my favourite, then theres lots of good ciders and perrys by Westons and a few other brands, black fox is good.
There are some ciders i dont like such as magners, bulmers and kooparberg, kopparberg is just too expensive and too sweet for me, and i just dont like the taste of magners or bulmers, although id still drink any of them over beer or lager any day.
Spirits wise it depends if im doing shots or just drinking them, for standard drinking i usually go for scotch (whichever they sell if im at the bar, or whatever cuaght my eye if i bought a bottle) sometimes mixed with either coke or Irn Bru depending on my mood, or brandy (usually dont buy this at pubs though)
I dont tend to drink wines much as i prefer the taste of cider although il occasionally have Port, or if theres bottles of wine around i will probably drink it.

Beer and Whiskey my friends. Give me one in each hand and i'm a happy man.
For whiskey it depends on what kind of mood i'm in. If i want something smooth I'll get a Canadien like Royal Crown or Canadien Club. Sometimes i want the rougher stuff so i'll get some Makers Mark or Jack.
For beer its Shiner Bock all the way. If i know i'm gonna drink a case or i'm short on money then i'll get Budweiser, or if i'm really broke, Busch.

makers mark is great!
I "inherited" 3 unopened bottles of canadian club whiskey from my grandpa. I'll admit, they made some nights pass happily.
My prized possession currently is a bottle of Old Crow that began the distilling process in 1936 and was bottled in 1940. It's partially evaporated and I had to pull the original cork because it was disintegrating. I wonder what it tastes like after 70 years.....

My posion? Beers, generally. Lagers, specifically. My main lagers are Carlton Draught, VB, Pure Blonde, Carlsberg, Stella and Heineken, if I'm desperate. Never come across a good enough ale to warrant a switch. Not that I've tried, but anyway.
Don't drink spirits all that often, but when I do it's generally Smirnoff vodka, Jagermeister and Canadian Club.
If I'm truly desperate though, I'll drink anything. I once drank half a bottle of the nastiest Ouzo ever because I ran out of beer. I don't remember most of that night, as a result.

Tequila.....cheap tequila with coke or expensive tequila straight up with no salt or lime.
Otherwise I'll go for a decent bourbon or whiskey.
But I prefer the tequila
