Is Cougar trying to say I am fat?!

The feet point doesn't count because proportionally, I reckon my feet are stupidly small for my height. It is my excuse for why I fall down so much. UK size 5 and 5'9" don't work well together. Regardless, by the sounds of things I reckon I am twice the size of Tehol!

Anyway, I am stopping this right here. The lock up your doggies comment was just something funny to post!! There is no bloody way I am purposely calling down a hangover of doom upon myself! I'm too old for this kind of thing, I only do it by accident these days. That's right, I'm a piker (and it is logistically implausible).

Flawless (somehow) victory, TB!!!
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

You'll always be the Foreman just hanging out, forever tainting any title, Mez. (The Foreman bit was a compliment, by the way.)

Okay, well if Centz is still up to it, I will do it. Clearly there is the issue of a time difference, but if it's on a weekend I would be willing to get my drink on in the afternoon. Let me know if you're up for it centz dear!

Your afternoon is our very early morning, Tehol. Centz and Tehol doing it is even more complicated, as there's a 15 hour or so time difference. Centz could do it in the early afternoon, which would be your night time.

Well whatever it works out to timewise, as long as Centz is up for it so am I.

It's a 15 hour difference however you look at it. :2guns: Or a nine, I guess, if you look at it another way. I don't know time zones confuse me. *Goes away*

I'm still somewhat worried about the fact that both you and Cougar think I'd ever be seen in a track suit...
If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do. If some one maintains that two and two are five, or that Iceland is on the equator, you feel pity rather than anger, unless you know so little of arithmetic or geography that his opinion shakes your own contrary conviction. … So whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants. So you think you become invisible when you put a track suit on?

If I were foolish enough to make such a fashion faux pas, I'd really hope that were the case...

The 80s were a long decade...I'm seeing a young SM looking 50% Run DMC, 50% Brian Glover in Kes.

Nah. At the beginning of the 80s it was a young Michael Jackson; all jheri curls and whatnot; then I moved on to my Terence Trent D'Arby style extensions; and after that it was funky dred all the way...

I saw a guy with dreds coming out of work today. Only they were middle aged middle class balding white man dreds.

That's right, imagine your stereotypical such man, bald with pony tail and hair round sides/back. Now imagine he has put all that into dreds. Long dreds. But the main part of his head - the dome, if you will - had just a few wispy hairs, and that's it. Was comic, in a tragic sort of way.

There really isn't a sadder sight. Some people really don't realise when it's time to let go of their youth.

I expect that in his younger days he was probably the kind of self-consciously hip white guy who, back in the 90s, used to accost me in clubs when off his face on disco biscuits convinced that he was my best friend because he had dreds too and speaking in the worst fake patois ever. And then was really put out when that turned out to be very decidedly not the case. Yeah, 'cause cultural appropriation is going to leave me especially well disposed to you... Those people used to really get on my tits. Almost as much as the young, terrifyingly middle-class white kids, very obviously away from home for the first time during their 1st year of Uni, who would assume that because I was a black guy with dreds, I was the obvious person to sell them drugs...

Ah... Memories.
