Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Don't worry. I appreciate how witty you've just been :2guns:

For the full effect, though, you have to look around you nervously before saying: "Hey man, do you know where I could get hold of any pills?" In the plummiest Home Counties accent you can.

Even 15 years down the line, it still pisses me off. Twats!

If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do. If some one maintains that two and two are five, or that Iceland is on the equator, you feel pity rather than anger, unless you know so little of arithmetic or geography that his opinion shakes your own contrary conviction. … So whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants. Kind words. I doubt them, but the intent is appreciated. :2guns:

There really isn't a sadder sight. Some people really don't realise when it's time to let go of their youth.

I expect that in his younger days he was probably the kind of self-consciously hip white guy who, back in the 90s, used to accost me in clubs when off his face on disco biscuits convinced that he was my best friend because he had dreds too and speaking in the worst fake patois ever. And then was really put out when that turned out to be very decidedly not the case. Yeah, 'cause cultural appropriation is going to leave me especially well disposed to you... Those people used to really get on my tits. Almost as much as the young, terrifyingly middle-class white kids, very obviously away from home for the first time during their 1st year of Uni, who would assume that because I was a black guy with dreds, I was the obvious person to sell them drugs...

I think you might be the last person I'd try to buy drugs from.

Please stop racially profiling Toby's half arsed annecdotes though.

Also well done Tobes you managed to discuss a bald man without mentioning my name.

I'm making progress, the group therapy is really helping.

I can sympathise with SM, every time I go past a country house Lords come sidling up to me asking if I could check out their flue and maybe clear the blockages in their chimneys. Disgraceful.

You think you've got it bad? I can't even mention I'm from the west country without people asking if I can fix their combine harvester :2guns:

Whereas I can call you a filthy northerner. Filthy northerner.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Surely with your accent and background they'd be more likely to ask if you can get one of your peasants to take a look at their combine harvester.

Peasants are the richest people here in the UK thanks to the subsidies they get and the generally huge amounts of land they have.... well, maybe bar the bankers...

Aren't peasants, by nature, poor?

I'm more of an on top kind of girl! :2guns: So if I had to choose one it would be stirred!

@Centz Okay so we're on then. We just need to work out the day and time and we'll be set. How does next weekend sound to you?

No not the one in two days, I can't do it then I have plans already. I'm talking about the next weekend, the 14th-16th of August. Do you want to have a set drink? Or should we just go for whatever? I'm good as long as it's not tequila, that stuff makes me violently ill. I won't go near it.

definately not tequilla - it depends if we are going straight shots or can mix it, I can't shot vodka any more. I like the idea of going the same strength but choosing our own poison.

sometime next weekend should work :2guns:

Really I have no problems with mixing it or shooting it. It's all the same really, as long as you're putting a full shot in with your mix. We just need to keep track of the total shots of alchol consumed. I will probably go with dark rum or vodka, but you can go with whatever you want providing it's the same strength.

So time wise what works best for you? I am willing to do it during the day or evening, as long as it's not first thing in the morning. Oh and we'll have to get Maccy to set up this chat room he was going on about.
