that's very true. 1st time i've ever done a 14 person draft. it makes the game a lot diffrent for sure.
With my limited knowlegde of the NFL we are now going into players i have never ever heard of. I didnt expect that to happend this soon. WTF am i supposed to pick from now on
How can you call Pittsburgh Defense a shocker and not mention Percy Harvin, who i havent ever heard of and isnt on my printed top 100 list TB?
Ohh and did TT pick before or after this happened.
Desean Jackson
I never said Pittsburgh itself was a shocker, they are the number one defense. It's how early he picked a defense. As SB himself admits, it's really early to be picking defense, even with 14 players. Usually defense isn't picked until the 10th round at the earliest. Alot of people won't pick a defense or a kicker until the fifteenth round. They are a good defense ther is no denying that. Although if you look at last years original rankings for defense and then who actually ended up being the top defensive teams alot of the predictions were waaay off.
As for Harvin, of course you haven't heard of him, he is a rookie, Minnesota's first round draft pick! So his ranking doesn't mean anything! He tore it up for the Gators last year! He may not be on your top 100 list but he was a dual WR/RB for Florida. He had 1,929 receiving yards and 1,852 running in his college career and was a favourite for the Heisman trophy in 2007! There is absolutely nothing crazy about that pick. Taking a rookie is always a risk, but he will get playing time with the Vikings and you can't just dismiss numbers like that! It's a good pick by KM!
You can't just go by the ranking lists alone, you have to consider the dynamic, and style of play of each team and the players potential.
