We made excellent progress there - briefly. What time zone's 60 on? He was online about 4 hours ago iirc so hopefully he'll be able to check back in soon...if it doesnt get to me within the next hour or so, I'm off to bed then work in the morning, but if it gets to me while I'm at work then if Brood sees this, text me and I'll do my pick that way!

Otherwise I'll be on about 6pm tomorrow. :The Force:

Yes, but that's more about a Southern (USA) colloquialism than an affectionate nickname.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

By the way--is it customary to grab a second DST for the by week or just use the waiver wire or whatever?

Some people grab two defences then play the matchups.

I don't think I have ever seen anyone draft a second defense for just the bye week.

The roster spot is generally more valuable for taking a chance on a RB/WR who might be great or might be terrible, if you aren't going to play the matchups.

I waiver wire it, but that's because I refuse to sit my Homer Defense.

Alright cool. Waiting on Brood, then. =D

I kinda wish we did a live draft now, though. :The Force: We wouldn't have to worry.

I only Draft one DST, and pick up what I need throught waiver wire. It's not worth wasting a spot on your bench with a second DST pick.

Live draft would've been good, but simply not feasible with 14 people, most of whom work, and live in different timezones.

I'm waiting to see who goes for the Denver defence. Surely someone will?!? :p :The Force: :respect:

I think we could have pulled off the live draft quite easily. Afterall we managed to get a bunch of people together for our drink off this weekend. Anyone who was unable to make it could have submitted a list or just left it to auto pick. In any event it's too late now.

I was looking at the Lions defense, but Denver might be the way to go TT! :The Force:

Can somebody tell me when the Arizona or St. Louis Cardinals won a Super Bowl, or is Daser sporting a runner's up ring?

They've never won have they? Gotta be a runners-up or a fake!

Brood says he'll get on "in a little while", so we should be able to move on a bit. You'll all probably end up waiting for me to get back from work tomorrow in the end lol
