Here's my second entry to the MAG-contest. A Quorl! The style is quite different from the Fener painting, I decided to try something new.I've just a couple of different insects as reference and added stuff from my own head as well :p
So what do you think?

Looks really good, but wings need to be bigger compared to the body - maybe with great big bug-eyes like a dragonfly, too.

Nice colours, like the saddles too!

So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

Just bigger all in all. Much longer body, thicker, HUGE wings, etc.

I wouldn't say much bigger - I get the impression they are a bit flimsy, and the ride is a bit unstable and uncomfortable, as they aren't that huge.
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

I really like this. The insectile legs are excellent. I would agree with bigger wings though, and maybe an even more elongated "tail"... Overall extremely good though!

i agree with increasing the wing to body ratio, dragonflies and all that, other than that this is a pretty sick piece, well done

I'll try some stuff out, but I kinda agree with Traveller, that was my impression of them as well. The wings I agree with:)

Yeah, the tail is supposed to be like 20ft long, I think. I just ran out of space:P I'll definitely give it a longer tail and bigger wings.

Thank you!

Heh, it looks so cute! It's a good translation, I think. Shades of green and blue are a nice touch.

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

Nice.
The longer tail and bigger wings are much better.
Good job on the transparency of the wings, it's a tricky thing to get right. (for me anyway)
Rejoice. For very bad things are about to happen

I think it's brilliant...I am constantly in awe of the talent on this forum...especially the artists...and whilst I would hate to be accused of bias, I love your work Grim...especially when you go easy on the poo! ;)
'Tell me, Tool, what dominates your thoughts?'
The Imass shrugged before replying. 'I think of Mafia, Adjunct.'
'Do all Imass think about Mafia?'
'No. Few think at all.'
'Why is that?'
The Imass leaned his head to one side and regarded her. 'Because, Adjunct, they are sheeple.'

Sometimes I wonder, "Why is that frisbee getting bigger?" ... and then it hits me.

I like the changes.

Now the tail is longer I wonder what it would like if it was curled under it.

Couple of things:

I think the picture would look better with some back, and in motion, soaring above a battlefield, or coral or mott wood etc.

I think the stillness of the picture makes it look rather odd, in particular the tail being held out behind perfectly straight.

Brilliant work as usual though :)
