"Here is light. You will say that it is not a living entity, but you miss the point that it is more, not less. Without occupying space, it fills the universe. It nourishes everything, yet itself feeds upon destruction. We claim to control it, but does it not perhaps cultivate us as a source of food? May it not be that all wood grows so that it can be set ablaze, and that men and women are born to kindle fires?"

What the heck is that white version of Orb Sceptre Throne?
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Advance reading copy I won from Tor.com. It's got weird dimensions, though I fudged it in the pic, but it's like an inch and a half narrower than your standard TPB, even though it's the same height.

Ah awesome. I know it's not Malazan but if you don't have that The Devil Delivered collection that came out a few months back, it's worth picking up. Very good, very different, and for three novellas in decidedly Erikson style, it's quite diverse. I hope The River Awakens gets released in the US some time.

Missing would be The Forge of Darkness (which is in the process of being read) and the Bauchelain and Korbal Broach omnibus.

New to the series, from the UK. Spent one long evening ordering these from all over the world. Not all the same type, but all new and I am pleased with them.

Yeah the Bantam paperbacks (with that helmet shield/logo at the top) are far and away the best looking covers. The others look terrible. I bought out my local Indigo store of all of Erikson's MBotF books, and the lady looked at me like I was nuts. "You sure like some heavy reading eh?" was the comment I got. Sure do lady. All these collections look pretty sweet though. Good to see!

I really like the TOR cover for House of Chains. Faces in the rock and shit.

Where did you get it, if you don't mind me asking? I'm thinking of starting an ICE collection in hardcover, but it seems I'm late to the party, as the NoK and RotCG HC-s are apparently out of print by now.

I found the TOR HC of RotCG not too long ago on Amazon.ca for $10 bargain bin price. Looks like they still have it for $20
Got NoK from someone who sold it through amazon. http://www.amazon.ca...60942193&sr=8-2

Out of curiosity, do any of you know if subsequent editions of The Crippled God (particularly the MMPB) have fixed the Dramatis Personae mixup between the Snake/Shake?
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Dunno for sure, but previewing the Tor Kindle edition on Amazon still shows the goof, so I would guess not?

I 've got a MMPB and it's still wrong. Just checked.
