Abalieno's pictures of an impressive full set of Bantam MMPBs inspired me to take a snapshot of my own Malazan collection. Post yours in this thread!
(Mods: if this would be better suited in a different forum, feel free to move. TtH is just as far as I've read.)

Me, I've got the Tor MMPBs of the first 7 books here, along with the Bantam MMPBs of Esslemont's stuff. Stacked on the left are the SFBC editions that I've started collecting (and absolutely love for their compact hardcover awesomeness.)

This setup is totally contrived, by the way. I've started double-stacking most of my shelves, and I had to move a bunch of David Eddings crap out of the way so I could line all of these up like this. You can click the image above to see the uncropped, in-context original.

Why do American edition always have such ugly cover designs? It's almost like they are trying to drive away casual browsers who might buy something that didn't have an embarassing fantasy cliche cover.

I really need to get my hands on books 2 - 4 so I can also have them all pretty on a shelf together. Not as pretty though, my books are in a bit of a state due to being lent out so many times

I'm in Brood's boat, as half of my books are at my parent's house and others are at friend's places who haven't bothered to finish and/or give them back.

My collection, though, consists of:

That's why I love the TPBs - they're much more durable and can actually survive 15+ reads :harhar:

It would be unwise for anyone to challenge Caladan Brood, but I'm going to give it a try anyway

The main series novels are all Bantam 1st editions. The novellas are all PS Publishing numbered and signed, except for the Return of the Crimson Guard, which is a "mass market" hardback. The first three novels I have in paperback versions, but they're loaned out.

question for you Abalieno, Where on earth did you find MMPB for Toll the Hounds as i cant find it anywhere.

I'm 1 for wanting all my books tobe the exact same size and as it stands both TtH and RotCG are throwing a spanner in the works as i only have them at normal PB :ermm:

My SE collections is perhaps not the most awesome:

GotM, DG, MoI, HoC, MT, tBH, RG - 1st Edition TPB
TtH, DoD - 1st Edition UK HB
Blood Follows, Health Dead - 1st ED PS Paperbacks
Along with:
NoK - 1st Edition PS Hardback
RotCG -1st Edition UK Hardback (not PS)

I *did* drag them all to the SE signings last year and get him to sign *all of them* though. Bless him.

My best collection was my Robert Jordan. I had the first 6 books in UK Trade paperback, UK regular paperback, US hardback and 4 onwards in UK hardback. Jordan came over to do a signing after Book 5 was released. The guy had only written 5 books (well, in this series) and I showed up with a suitcase containing 17 of them. He was actually very pleased and said he wished more people did that. He also said that there had been some corrections made in later editions of his books and that I might want to buy them all again...

Sadly (sort of) I got married around MoI and so could no longer afford to be such a book collecting nerd. No offense intended, of course! I *wish* I was still a book collecting nerd... :respect:

Erikson *did* seem mildly impressed with my 1st Edition GotM TPB, though. Apparently they are quite rare or something. Well, now mine is rare *and signed* :The Force:

No pics, but...

GotM, DG and MoI - UK/Cnd mmpbs - the originals!
HoC - 1st ed TPB (the cover with two tiny dudes looking at big dogs)
MT, TB, RG, RCG and TtH - 1st ed UK hbs.
BF and HD - the generally available hbs.
LLE - PS Publishing 1st ed hb.
NoK - PS numbered ltd ed, signed by ICE.

I'll acquire hbs of the first four when i am somewhere i can buy them and have SE sign them. Until them i'm happy with my well worn mmpbs.

God, must American covers be so ugly? They're such an eyesore. My eyes...they bleed...

Nothing wrong with that selection, KM. The only deficiency is the novellas, and DoD of course.
