Alright. I'm getting the feeling that the teams probably (though I can't say about the spider, found no info on him or Roland) consist of a leader, a pair, and a killer/something special.

Locke Lamora, who is a thief and leader, according to OP. Steal?
Jean Tannen, who apparently has axes called the sisters, and thus doesn't sound very thiefy. Killer?
And twin brothers, who don't seem to do much in the books from what I've heard except be twin brothers. Guards?
Bug- ??? Didn't get mentioned in the summary but apparently a Gentleman

Barsavi's Team
Capa Barsavi- "He's a-gonna make us an offer we can't refuse," aka the leader. No idea what he can do; summary was a bit vague, said he was a genius though, and as a thief don, maybe steal? Or Find?
Nazca, Locke's wimmenz friend. I got a tiny bit very spoilered, so I'd assume not killer lmao. Healer, Guard, finder.
The two brothers- Paired, maybe. Possibly killers/wounders.

The Grey King- I can haz rulership now? Can't guess at his powers; Doesn't sound that powerful in the summary or review. Just sounds kinda evil.
Falconer- Mage- Has lots of abilities in the books; from stopping people moving, to reading their minds, to killing (I'd guess), to protecting them from harm. Maybe has a few powers to make up for lack of GK's, if I'm reading this right.
Twin Sisters- former bodyguards or assassins or something. So, killers, paired, I'd guess.

The Spider- No idea, you suggest spy?
Roland- ???

Four unnamed characters- Wound? no action?

Sounds fairly okay. I'd imagine that quite a few characters have "wound" capabilities... maybe just one time, but still a few seeing as how this is "high body count" and what not. Every character in the book is dangerous in their own right.

I'd imagine the Falconer to have the strongest abilities of anyone. He pretty much dominates everyone.

hmm, a spy mechanic strikes me as a typical finder sort of power with a new name, but it could also be a sort of pm peek like Heroes v1 though I find that less likely.

As for steal, I don't know how you could feasibly steal a role. At the top of my head I think such an action would be more typical of guard, though again it's hard to say. This a tmid 6 right?

yeah, that. For instance, how would someone with the steal power say steal the power of the Capa? How would that work? I dunno, to me it makes little sense. In the end, we have little to speculate on in regards to it, so I'll just wait and see what happens as the game progress.

No, Barghast is probably an admin I would say steal would be held only by the leaders; you can't steal a steal or something.

To clarify: there is only one Bug in the game. I had it ordered by alphabet, so when I didn't see Bug I thought I had missed it.

Also, I suggest everyone peruse the rules carefully. I cannot stress this enough.

And the very basics gleaned from wikipedia should be able to produce the factions.

In the Monastary Murders game there were some talismans doled out to people. These were the source of their abilities. Maybe steal DOES steal an ability, but only those tied to an object? We could see some early vigs if that's the case, since people might be afraid to lose it.

Probably a lamora skill, or maybe barvasi has thieves too.

Also, @Lisoan... It wouldn't be too difficult to steal a player's power for a day... or perhaps it is about stealing an Alt. I don't know. I'm drunk and confused.
