All righty, I'm here. Spam has made a sort of return?
It's been ages since I read the book, need to go wiki to refresh my memory. I remember there was a husband and a wife that that became the Spider's successors at the end of the book. So I would imagine they are on the spider's team.
I would imagine the factions are reasonably closely balanced, I dont see how a faction with less than four people will have much of a chance.
To the wiki!
Joins in the discussion on the spider team make-up.

The wiki article is pretty short and leaves out a couple of the details of the story, but there's enough info to make a rough guess at the factions, even if you havent read the books. I think a 5-5-4-4 thing is most likely. There's not as many names in the OP as there are players though, so some guessing at faction makeup is required. With the large number of non-leaders that have a close relationship (twins, husband and wife) it's likely every faction has a pair of players who can comm off thread. Would be an interesting twist if this was the case.
Makes a determination that each faction likely has 4 or 5 players. Also guesses at pairing off-thread comms.
Has some spam posts, and several more posts about the husband-wife that is assumed to be on the Spider team.

It is possible the last character would be linked to the GB, but I doubt it. And I would expect them to people who were around at the time of the book.
Random thug is possible. Or some minor character who I have forgotten in the year or so since I read the book. I'm sure there's a couple.
Edit - kind spoiler, but two books later we STILL no nothing about Sabetha, so I seriously doubt she features.
Trying to help guess the mystery final character.

Good morning thread
I have no problem voting HP - he's not my leader and with the most votes at the moment he seems the best bet for a lynch. Not 100% sure if the other random cases were attempts to derail HP's train or just people being odd (of which there seemed to be a lot last night), but it would make a nice cherry on top if it turned out to be true.
vote Hood's Path
Votes HP.

Gotta do some work for a while. Hopefully I can get my head around this a little later. I agree that anyone revealing in a Merc game is a stupid move, since it will get you killed, even if you're telling the truth. That said, why then lie in the process? If you're likely to die to try take someone out you had better have a reason, else it's a pretty useless move. I dont really see why Kas would think Lio is worth sacrificing himself for from things on thread. Something funny is going here but I dont know what

Here's a fun post. He basically says revealing in merc gets you killed, which is true, but then says that there's no reason to reveal unless you think it's a good trade for your life. I find this amusing in the face of Gamelon's reveal.

A-holy crap. Crazy shit happening. I would think the grey king is the closest to a foreign faction, so I'm guessing Lio was part of that. Kinda makes Kaschan's reveal more believable. Which means I still think he's the best lynch since anyone not in his faction has the potential to be outed by him.
Not sure what actually happened to Morgy though, I assume some kind of crazy day-vig? And the Korlat/Lio/Kas back and forth has given me a headache...
Stipulates that Lio was of the GK, but he joins in the Kaschan lynch (next post he votes Kaschan).

I have no reason to keep him around
Then put your money where your mouth is and vote.
If you do not know he's in your faction and he survived the night, he's a threat, plain and simple.
If there isnt a better case by the time I go to bed tonight I will, I just dislike speedlynches and there hasnt been much discussion yet today.
Gamelon seems to be egging Emur on to vote Korlat, but Emur is taking his time on it.
Some back-and-forth with Game and Korlat.

I'm not sure if they're paired, but you have a valid point wrt to the change in Korlat's playstyle.
vote Korlat
Eventually votes Korlat.
