hmm, I thought he had been. Well, wait and see if he pops up but if not then we skip to Cohl's Shades if Lish and Morgoth are willing, or there's Highlander after that, or any of the shelved games.

Haven't seen Stalker in forever, doubt he'll be here to do his Illiad game, we should probably shelve that one...

I can run my cult mini sometime soon, but only from next week onwards. Maybe after the next full game?

I haven't seen Lish since he failed to mod his other game. Left it all to the co-mods iirc. Something about his gf sucking up his Mafia time. Needless to say I'm in for whatever game is up next.

My time in China until Thursday will be spent only visiting relatives (as opposed to sightseeing), so I will have semi-stable internet access to run Lies as a full game (that'd be 15 players).

So that's available as a final resort if no one else can run a full game.

Hell I could run Twilight or Rot3Cultdoms if necessary (though I'd much rather wait 'til the huge numbers of Fall for Twilight)

Indeed. I figure 15 should be easy even in the summer here, no?

If you think you've got the internets for it, then I say go for it! Make a sign-up thread and if it fills fast enough could start Monday

Are there any objections, first? I don't want to screw anyone over.

I dont mind, although I think a full game next will be better, since a bunch of people missed out on the current one.

Huh. I think I can rework the rules to make it up to 18 players. How'd that sound?

edit: if there are no further objections, I'll try to open up a signup thread in the morning (might have to wait until the afternoon though).

Can I also get the dev forum p/w to get some critique on the setup as well?

I think Kurt's gone for a few months and Lisheo is missing as usual. By default that puts Highlander to the top of the queue, but if Tapper wants to play I guess we should shuffle it around.

I'm also ready to run Kill Bill whenever if Sixty's going to run his game. The setup is about 80% done.

I'm rather ambivalent about running my game; if anyone else would prefer to run theirs I'd gladly step aside. I'm mainly offering in case no one else is available.

I don't think it's a problem. After all, the explicit point of the shelved games is that they have priority and can be inserted whenever. Lock Lamora has been on the shelf for a while so I think it'd be good to do it.

Furthermore, just look at the next 8 or so games:

Quote

Mafia 48: Vorkosigan theme <> Kurt Montadon (PST) <> TMDI 9-10
Mafia 49: Alan Campbell's Cohl's Shades theme <> Lisheo (GMT) and Morgoth (GMT+2)
Mafia 50: Highlander-themed game with power absorptions <> Tapper (GMT+1)
Mafia 51: Illiad-themed game <> Stalker (GMT-5), co-mods needed
Mafia 52: Generic mafia theme, Macros-style set-up <> Macros (GMT evenings), Bent (GMT-5) <> TMDI <5,
Mafia 53: Dresden files themed <> Obdigore <> TMDI 10+
Mafia 54: Lord of the Rings themed game <> Great Lord D (GMT), looking for American and Aus/NZ co-mods <> (asked to be moved to the next fall season)

Kurt is AWAL, same with Lish. Tapper said he wants to play. Stalker is dead to the world. Macros hasn't touched mafia with a 10ft pole in quite a while. So that takes us all the way to Obdi, 6 slots back from the current queue.

With all that in consideration, I think now's an excellent time to insert a shelf game!

This is true. Guess I need to start thinking bout v2 of my monastery game in case it's needed. Hopefully once Obdi has run his Dresden game he will get back to me about my Mistborn idea and I can get that fleshed enough to run. And if any of the newer players who expressed interest in helping mod a game they should let me know so I can bounce one or two tweaking ideas for my cult mini off them. Doubly so if they're non-GMT (Shin and PB I think you both said something along those lines a while ago)

Don't start threads when drunk kids! Lol.

(whatever it is... whatever it is...) redundant statement was redundant.

I won't be around tonight or probably tomorrow. We also frown on starting games during the weekend, too, right? So... right.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

That wasn't the only thing she was sucking....hey oh!

Sorry I had to say that

I'm in for the next game...as long as m45 doesn't kill me on the first day again!

I think that Obdi mentioned in the sign up for the Jihad game that he was ready to run his Dresden game...

I am in if we are starting on monday...Course obdi might not check the thread till monday what with tomorrow being the 4th (or for cougar the day that we kicked the brits out of America) Celebration...
How many fucking people do I have to hammer in order to get that across.

In that case, would it be better for me to go ahead and run Lies? Since Obdi might not be back until Monday, which would probably make for a wednesday start.

I can run my game if/when Bent, my awesome co-mod is around.
Life is a bit too unpredictable for me to reliably mod, but I can try.

edit: I would vastly prefer to run Mafia 50 in say, 2 weeks time.
