Holy ball-sack. I leave for a couple hours and the thread goes even further into stupid-land...
Good lord, HP, I don't know what to say... How could you think I was trying to get Game lynched? Like, what the FUCK? Game revealed and everyone was eating out of his hand up to the point of trying to lynch off the guy he built a poor case against. It kind of scared me, so I decided to remind people that there are these things called "fake-reveals" and trusting everything he says without proof could be very bad for us.
Admittedly, I guess I didn't fully think through my WCS, as if he were lying, as someone pointed out, the real Duncan/Janice could just disinfect him instead of counter-revealing. (Can a symp of the DG get disinfected though? He knows who the DG is and presumably was told who all the other infected are, so if he went back to being town, it's game-over for the DG.) If you're just a random infected, though, it certainly would be a pretty great way to get disinfected. The DG thinks you're trying to help him out by getting Duncan to counter-reveal, so he doesn't SO you.
I guess it's all pretty moot, though, with the HP reveal. I'm inclined to believe him, as he doesn't appear smart enough to put together a plan that would cause fake-revealing to fuck us all over. The inconsistency between Game saying he cured HP and HP saying he wasn't infected is a little troubling, but the theory that Game lied to keep HP safe is pretty solid. Only way of knowing for sure is just to wait until Game gets back and pray he's still alive when he does.
Let's see, what else... Oh, Mockra was town. GG. I am so freakin' pissed off at both Rashan and Mockra for making us waste two days of lynching because they were mentally challenged.
And holy fuck, everyone gets a BP or a vig. Wow. If Game was telling the truth, then there's one infected still around and you can bet your ass he's going for the vig tonight. And any other infected the DG now picks up are fairly likely to have vigs, too, so the chances of Game's survival are pretty grim... All I can say is if there's a healer around, well, I think your choice is now obvious.
One more thing,
@Eloth: Since when have other cults had the danger of losing members except through death (which, of course, they would be told about)? I really don't have much of a reason to think you're the DG anymore, but I am troubled by your reasoning nonetheless.
That is a pretty good synopsis of the game at this point. I would imagine that infected are only told at the beginning of the day that they are infected, so there should hopefully only be one person trying to vig him tonight. Assuming Gam was told, I would think he would take a BP (why wouldnt he?), or that BP is the default action for a time out (since it doesnt require a target) he may actually survive the night.
And it hasnt happened for a while, but there have been games with decoders before, and the cult master was never told that the decode was successful. So I was thinking along those lines. It is possible that the DG does get told though, so I see your point.
Edit - and in games like that there was normally some system in place to prevent the decoded from just outing the leader. Not quite being put in a factionless state until the leader wins, but some pretty screwy mechanics. Anyway, I could see something similar happening in this game.
