No no. That could end up with people being picking early or late in every round. Not probable, but definitely POSSIBLE, and therefore, inherently unfair.

Since i dont know much about the NFL i should draft first each round...it is only fair....NFL is like soccer right, just played by pussies wearing alot of protective gear right?

Yeah i should absolutely draft first all the time, maybe even have more than 1 pick each round. :(

Do we have any idea yet as to when we are strating our draft? I know we don't want to start too early, but we also need to allow time for this draft process we're going with.

I'm happy to start soon, preseason starts what, early August? So we should at least have started by then.

Draft-wise, what are we thinking method wise? I've put forward what I thought but, as I said I was drunk at the time (as I am slightly now incidentally), and so dont know. Volkh's suggestion I dont think is particularly fairer, plus we've got the issue of arranging independent draws for every round which is more hassle.

So vote for the normal way, the way I said might work, or nominate another.

Soon as we get most votes in, we'll go ahead.

Just do an inverse draft order.

1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 <--- round 1
10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 <--- round 2
repeat.

It is the fairest way to go if you don't have a previous season's performance to base it off of.

What you said was pretty much the same thing as 1-14, 14-1. Just more complicated. so i dont care, whichever one you want to use. Your in charge of this operation.

So, normal draft order systemy thing in mind, I still need someone to do an accompanying draw.

As I know who has what number, will anyone volunteer to draw the letters A - N from a hat or something and post what order they come out?

Whoever volunteers, do it, then SAY HERE before posting results. I'll then PM the list of randomly lettered names (ie who's A, who's B, etc) to a neutral arbiter before you post your results, so we know it's all completely fair. Then post results here when I give the word, and I'll say who got what pick.

Soon as that happens we'll work. Any takers to do the letter-pick draw?

Good man! Whenever you like old bean, soon as I suppose. If you do it tonight or tomorrow day maybe, then I can PM someone with my results when I get in from work tomorrow evening, then the two of us can both post the final order at this time (say 9pm good old english time) tomorrow?

You can send me who is Assigned to each number. I'm not playing so it is a rather reasonable assumption to assume I wouldn't screw with anything.

Shouldn't we maybe wait until after training camp, so we know if someone gets injured before the season even starts. I know it doesn't make sense to wait for preseason games, but people get hurt in camp too.

I'm just saying... I really don't care one way or the other. Just let me know when it's my turn to pick.
