Denmark's an hour ahead of here, and I may have this wrong but CST is 5 hours behind summertime GMT, right? So 9pm CST is...2am GMT. Im usually awake at that time anyway but I appreciate others may not be.

So we're looking at a maximum 7 hour time difference, if I've worked this out right. I'm guessing most of the rest of you guys work til 5pm, right? Maybe a weekend could be more feasible? Mid-afternoon for all you yanks, early evening for us Europeans.

If we could go for a weekend it would be much better for me, only because I can never be sure as to when my last patient is going to be in. If they arrive late (and they usually do) there is no way I could make the 5:00 draft time. If we pushed it to 6:30 on a weeknight though I could definitely do it.

6:30 who's time.

I appreciate the thought but I think that with RL issues and time zones it is going to involve a lot of planing...

Not that it isn't possible but charts should be made and what not. Also what date's were we thinking of doing it. As I have weddings and what not this summer...

I'm thinking we could do a live draft via IRC or something similar? I've never tried fantasy football really, but I think that IRC would be viable.

6:30 pm my time is what I meant if we were doing it during the week. Otherwise I would be happy to do a weekend, whatever is easiest for people is what I'll go with. If someone wants to suggest a date we can see who's available and go from there. If it's not convenient for everyone we can choose another date. I really don't think it should be too hard to get this together. From what I remember of the fantasy baseball draft the people who were available to do it live were there and anyone else who wasn't interested or wasn't available just went with the computer doing the draft picks. I don't think this is going to be as complicated as it would normally be for a fantasy football draft if we were together in RL, all we need is a time when we can get the most people together at once. So start throwing dates out people and times too.

11th and 12th arent great tbh, as that's the date of the Malaz BBQ here in the UK, so at least myself and Brood will be either travelling or occupied eating and drinking copious amounts. Sunday night (12th) might be feasible, I'd imagine I'd be home by something like 7 or 8pm, which would be mid-afternoon for the americans, so that's an option. This weekend is also a good option for me, or pretty much any night in the forseeable future (might be a few days down whilst I get off my arse to go buy a new wireless box).

I might be able to this saturday night as my wife has her friends bachelorette party to go to. This sunday is Fathers day. Don't forget TT. So a lot of people will be doing that stuff with them. Next weekend I have a wedding in St. Louis....Weekend after is 4th of July or the day that we broke from the old empire of cranky red pants. Then comes the malazan BBQ. I am open for the 18th-19th of july but then I have a wedding on the 25th. For the first two weeks of Aug we will be traveling around France and the low countries. After that I would be free again.

So for me open weekends are

This saturday

july 11-12

july 18-19.

Fuck my summer is busy....

Ok, so we'll start with this Saturday - how would that be for everyone?

If we say something like 8pm GMT, so that's about lunchtimeish for the Americans?

Once every date gets crossed off we'll proceed through them then take whichever has the most.

I won't be in the states with stable internet access until the 19th or so.

edit: saturday is definitely viable. It takes, what, an hour or so? I'll be packing but I think it shouldn't be an issue.

This Ssturday and next will be out for me as I have to work, this is only a temporary thing as normally I am not in the office on a Saturday. The following Saturdays would be fine for me though.

Just throwing this out as another option.

We have about 3 months till the season starts. We could start another thread and do our draft on here. TT could draw our teams for draft order, post it, then we start drafting. When you get on here and its your turn to draft you put the player you want in the next post.

It would take a while, but we have months. This is how we do the one i'm in here. Then when the draft is over you create your league and make it an offline draft. Then the commish puts the players on each team. And if he didnt have time to do that, one of us could do it.

This way we dont have to worry about getting everyone together at the same time.

Whaddya think?

oh, and HD can email me his picks and i'll put them on here for him.

edit: And normal drafts are a snake draft, which means draft 1-12 then back 12-1 and keep going back and forth.

Either way, if we could we should probably wait a little while to do this if we can. Theres all kinds of stuff that can happen in the next few months.

I like that idea, I have to say - it seems more practical and we still get the fun of a semi-live draft.

Cool. The season starts on Sept 10. If we could wait till a little closer to then it would probably be better.

I'd hate to pick a player and have him blow out his knee during OTA's.
