it's factions and i'm at l-2 all over some stupid idea that 'oh my god he mentioned it sevearl times he must be the real cult or something i dunno because someone else did that in a previous game or something'

check out the last cult game, where i think it was bwgan as the cult leader. she didn't go 'hay guys let's find the cult' every 2 mins.

in fact the epic qq of the whoel thing has got me pretty riled up, but what am i gonna do, revela and somehow get people to go 'o ya you're totally on my faction'?

This is a very good find, I didn't notice this at all which is more than a little embarassing. Experience has shown again and again that people with exotic or unike roles (like cult or FM say) are by far the players most obsessed with the role in question. Look at 17 and 31 to show the most glaring examples of this, though the trend has carried through pretty much all of our games so far. To be honest, I saw the case against you as being more to do with your constant mention of the king of hell dude, more than your obsession with finding the cult. Normally when someone starts to speculate about a certain role of character, they have some or other link to that character. So everyone who doesnt have anything to do with that character will view you as a good lynch on a day where there is very little to show who else is in your faction.

I have played as cult before and spent most of the game 'hunting' either cult or my ex-teammates and 'missing' constantly. We didnt win, but we came damn close and noone knew I was cult till the game ended. So because it didnt happen in Ment's game doesnt mean it isn't a strategy.
