Well, I am around for a while. I just read this great book called "The Illiad". It was really good.

Nice scene.
Given Korlat's earlier description of Jack, I'm not entirely sure what faction he'd be on (with John Anchor or not) =/ Doesn't give us much information, that's for sure. Maybe Korlat has some more extensive/in-depth knowledge on the character in the books?

Wow, looks like I missed out on all the action
. PB's text speak was pretty damn irritating, probably worth voting him off for that alone
. But hey, Day 1 is Day 1, it just wouldn't be the real thing unless someone was killed off for very little reason. My initial reaction when I saw Rashan building a case on Hood's Path was that it was an attempt to derail, so I shall take a look into that tomorrow.
But then again, it always seems like we end up ganging up on a weakened faction instead of ganging up on the strongest. This guy's name doesn't sound like he's a cult member (though I could well be wrong on that score), and the cult is something you want to nip in the bud early.
Probably a good idea to try and drag some of the quieter players forward earlier rather than later, find their allegiances and so forth. There's nothing more annoying than getting near the end of a Merc game and realising there are 3-4 players who's alignment you have no idea about.
Unfortunately time is short for me today (meetings, bane of my Mafia playing life), but I might be able to talk more when I get home.

didn't understand a thing, but I like it.

Nice scene PS!
And I did not expect Sil was PB. Isn't he supposed to always be the D'riss alt these days?
Anyways, I have to say that I will not be on again for a while since I have plans this weekend (for once). I should be checking in again on Sunday at some point.

Nothing's happened since I last posted. However, I'd like to let you all know I won't be around much this weekend. SATs, papers, and more...oh joy.

I honestly thought you would be at 500 posts by now, the silver lining is that I haven't missed much, except for the lynch. Can't say the name in the CF tells me anything - I am not intimate with this theme.

Me neither, haven't read the books. Still, a lynch is a lynch as long as he wasn't on your team. Or was he?
Anyway, night time still?

Morning scene:
The people all pulled themselves out of sleep, staring groggily around each other, rubbing their bleary eyes, and generally inspecting their surroundings.
No, bad luck, the gigantic army of deformed demonic souls was still over there, outside Cospinol's protective fog.
They did look a little on the angry side, it had to be said, what with the sword-waving and growling and spilling of people's blood and magical attacks.
Once again, weapons were picked up, armour donned.
Some people didn't glance down at their bedrolls; didn't notice the drops of blood left there.
Others had been victim to very livid dreams; being held down in their sleep, completely unable to move, or having foul-tasting alchemical potions poured down their throat, or had conversations with demons and Gods, or, in one man's case, been attacked by a chicken, with a gore-stained beak (but it had been no ordinary chicken, it was a manifestation of pure evil, and that hadn't been ordinary tobacco he had been smoking before falling asleep).
Surprisingly, it seemed no one had died. Yet.
It is Day Two
36 Hours Remain
Players still alive: D'riss, Emurlahn, Fener, Gamelon, Hood's Path, Kessobahn, Korlat, Korvalain, Liosan, Meanas, Rashan, Ruse, Telas, Tellan, Tennes
Players yet to vote: D'riss, Emurlahn, Fener, Gamelon, Hood's Path, Kessobahn, Korlat, Korvalain, Liosan, Meanas, Rashan, Ruse, Telas, Tellan, Tennes

I'm not too sure what to make of the no-kill, though. Did someone manage to get a successful heal off, or do we just have a lot of unused vigs? =/

So, no deaths, huh?. Unusual for a night one...though I suppose that doesn't necessarily mean there wasn't any cult recruiting or what have you.
EDIT: Crosspost with Gamelon. That is awesome!

Cool scene, kinda ominous there at the end. And... evil chicken? Wat? Before anyone asks, I have no knowledge of crazy evil chickens in the books.
As for the question brought up earlier, yes, Jack Caulker is the same Jack I mentioned earlier. He follows John Anchor around 'guiding' him, by which I mean he makes navigational suggestions and John sometimes vaguely listens to the suggestions. His real motive is he's trying to steal John's pearls/diamons/gems, but he's not a malicious guy.
If the factions were formed of people who travel together, then he's certainly be with John and Cospinol, but if the factions are based on something else he could go a number of ways (ie if factions were grouped by motives, then he could be with the innocent citizens just trying to protect their city, like Nettle and Mark.) And of course the factions have been tampered with so we can't be too sure of anything.
I doubt he was much of a power role and him and John would probably be the least likely to be a cult as their motivations are much more personal and singular. If Cospinol was with them, he would have the ability to be cultish, but so do any of the other gods that hoard souls and of the gods there are others who have much better cult-like motivations to obtain followers, among them Ulcis, Rys and Hasp if he's infected (3rd book).

Ahh that's a good one, even if he's taking some of D'rek's ideas here. There doesn't seem to be much else going on atm, being friday night and all. Fail GMTers are probably asleep or drunk. Call me when there's actually someone else online.
It would probably be good for me to do a reread. Unsure when I'd have the opportunity (too tired right now =/), but... Fail my SAT, blow off some schoolwork--I could probably make some time. Mafia is more important than school, right? As I've come to conclude, at least.

edit: xpost with Korlat...I really need to l2refresh.
