The night was quiet, but far from empty. Silent sparks of magical disharge flickered randomly through the air. Those not caught in the concentration of spell-casting lay in bed, praying to survive the night.

Eventually morning breaks, not a moment too soon by anyone's reckoning. The tired monks once again assemble in the central courtyard. It seems some of their number are missing. A search begins, rooms are visited, grisly discoveries made: A corpse - eyes bugling, muscles taught, veins standing out like ropes. Stuck in the throes of obvious agony, his corpse cannot fit through the door. Another corpse, seemingly at peace. Except for the neat, almost surgical incision from clavicle to crotch. He too is left in place, the smell of exposed bowels too much for any of the monks to bear. Once again, everyone congregates. The loathesome Shapers are obviously still present. They must be found.

Korlat (Shinrei) is dead and was a Monk of the Path.
Tennes (Obdigore) is dead and was a Monk of the Path.

Only someone with this much power could make this many frittatas without breaking any eggs.

Oooooookay. So just like last game, some nimrod decided to use a vig on night 1, again, or we have two night kills.

Hurm. Shin and Obdi. Do we think these are meta kills, or just random night 1 kills?

Or, of course, purposeful kills intended to hit these alts

Korlat was the 2nd highest poster. Tennes was in the bottom quarter.

Neither one stands out too much.

I don't like the idea of another 'random night one vig' - that seems...strange. Why would someone do that on NIGHT ONE again? It's stupid. And a waste. Either a meta kill - SHAME ON THE PERSON WHO DOES THIS - or they really thought they'd found something, in which case I'd like them to explain just wtf they think they were doing?
For a start, killing someone on night one is a bad idea, even if you are certain they are scum - at least wait until night two, so you can watch their interactions the next day. :D

Here's a tip to noobs, saving your vig for later in the game is advisable. Dying with an unused vig isn't a big deal.

Read over Tennes, just a few finger-pointing posts at Gamelon and Emur for objecting to the Telas train.

Anyone notice how one of the night kills appears to have happened in a magical way, and the other in a more physical way? Normally it wouldn't be worth mentioning, but from the intro scene, I gathered that the monks of the path were adept at magic and the shaper monks killed through physical means (i.e. knife in the head monk's chest). Could be nothing, but it could point toward a vig kill. Which, as pointed out above, is pretty retarded.

I think his finger-pointing was less for objection to the train itself but for complaining about how the train isn't viable and insisting on just letting day time out (effectively like a vote for night) and not actually providing an alternative lynch in its stead.

There is no information in the scenes. They are strictly for your (and our) amusement.

Seriously, I just make them up as I go along (as well as most of the theme too, I had the role ideas before I had a premise), so dont read anything into them other than a feeble attempt to create tension or provide a chuckle.
