The Telas case is inane, and I refuse to vote for it purely on those grounds. The lynch will quite likely go through, but I don't care for it.

So, if we don't lynch, where do you think we should investigate on day two?

*shrug*

My suspicions revolve around Liosan, Ruse, and Silanah. But there's so little to work with ... it's just random Day 1 hunches, with very little backing them. I'll have to pick apart the lynch later (if it goes through), and see what there is to see.

I understand. But, the problem I have with that is that it just takes us back to the beginning, with nowhere to go from except where we were. Which is bemused and befuddled.

Ya, I agree with Korv. This case is shit, but with 39 minutes left its the only way to get some info for tomorrow.

Well, I'll add my vote now because I just got called to a meeting. It's a useless case as always on Day 1.

Vote Telas

Alright, we're going to time out at ~2:07 to 2:08 my time, and we are L-1. I will be here until that time in case Telas shows up. If he doesn't, I'll hammer.

Well I am off to bed now. I'm sorry but the case on Telas isn't a case even for Day 1. I'm not going to bother placing a vote, my standards just aren't that low. I'd prefer no lynch at all to just the random Day 1 lynch we have at the moment. There's what a 2/17 chance of him coming up scum as a guess. Just not worth it.

Guessing at role speculation on day one, and being obviously horribly wrong at that?

I also enjoy your little 'I don't like random cases and refuse to vote for anyone' schtick. Are you expecting to build a WIFOM case off the kill tonight, or are you just happy to have no information on day 2, leaving the inno team just as confused as on day 1?

Very interesting post, sir.

And then you come along and agree with Gamelon's assesment. You don't like the case, do you have a better one? Do you have anything that will help us find the scum? Are you fucking retarded? How is not lynching someone on day one going to help us find the shapers? Or is this all a ploy because you know Telas is inno, and so later in the game you can say 'look guys, I didn't vote for this inno!'?

I was thinking along the same lines - Gam and Emur might be trying to seem super innocent with this whole not-voting because the case is so poor bit. Frankly I can't see any way in which not lynching would help us innos, and yet not lynching certainly does help the scum.

Emur then goes further and says that he has suspicions of other characters and he will use the lynch to try and gunnel them. He's fine with using the lynch for his own manipulations that he won't even reveal yet beyond names, but he has such a high ethic that he won't vote for the lynch he's going to use?!

(edit -> XX with Tennes' 2nd post, but not his first (which I quoted))

What does the word gunnel mean?

gun⋅nel
–noun any small eellike blenny of the family Pholididae (Pholidae), esp. Pholis gunnellus (rock gunnel), common in shallow waters of the North Atlantic.

I assume he meant 'funnel or gun for'?

According to dictionary.com it is either a sort of eel, or the sharply sloped side of a vessel, from gunwhale.

Which means, I have no idea what he's saying in that context.

Well, using context clues I surmise he meant

use the lynch to "incriminate" them

or maybe punch them in the face.

Either way.

Sorry. Old Newfie-talk pops up every now and then when I forget to suppress my childhood. (It's the boat-hull-shape version, not the eel btw.) In any case the english translation is to put them in a situation where we are eyeing them with the potential for malice, ie they will be put "in a sticky situation".
