TT, I think we're almost 72 hours over deadline, as it's Friday night for you GMTers and deadline was Tuesday.

I'm going away in literally under an hour for the weekend and dont really have time to resolve atm, so if Morgy pops us and agrees before Monday, does Brood or someone who knows the password wants to do the latest resolve and set the next deadline (Tuesday or Wednesday, maybe?), then I'll take over from Sunday night, soon as I get back. Otherwise, if we've heard nothing by then, I'll step in and just do it anyway Sunday night.

Okay new password is morgothsucks if someone wants to do a resolve before TT gets back.

Otherwise TT when you get back change the password, and do the reolve.

OK guys, I am movign house this weekend, there is no internet yet at the new place. Should be able to set it up pretty quickly, but I don't know for sure. If I dissapear, that is why.

In the meantime, I may do a resolve in about half an hour or so :)

Now, there is use of both the two unique rules in this set of moves. Russia is using the TSR to attack from Omsk to Irkutsk, and Turkey is supporting through Egypt. Now, from my understanding of the TSR rules, Russia's attack will fail.

Quote

Units using the TSR can attack another space (with support, if needed) along the TSR if
1. The province is unoccupied at the start of the turn
2. The province is occupied at the start of the turn, but is made empty by other moves during that turn.

Turkey's move is, obviously, successful. If anyone disputes these interpretations, please say so - it's the first time we've used them, so it may be a bit confusing :) Apologies to Ment for his query regarding those orders not being responded to... blame Morgy.

jeez, I completly forgot. My new job just demanded a lot more out of me and I've had to work into the week ends and all. I am really sorry but I can't see how it will change anytime soon :) ..

I'll have to pull out. I can barely keep enough attention to my mafia game, and even there the others have had to step in some.

so, sorry

Don't stress :) Hopefully you'll have more time soon. I didn't realise we were allowed a real life as well!!

hmm
can whomever came up with TSR take another look at that resolve?

I attacked from Omsk with support from Krasnoyarsk.

Irkutsk wasn't reinforced, and my support wasn't cut.
should that not mean 2 vs 1 = dislodge?

that was my question to Adjudicator, and the move depended on that.

if someone can explain, i'd be grateful.

oh, and remove Rumania, obviously.

From the first post:

Quote

Units using the TSR can not attack occupied spaces.

But it seems harsh that the Russians didn't get a reply before the move went through...... Did you guys send in a move for "if we can't do this, then move here"?
"pseudoscience and superstition will seem year by year more tempting, the siren song of unreason more sonorous and attractive. Where have we heard it before? Whenever our ethnic or national prejudices are aroused, in times of scarcity, during challenges to national self-esteem or nerve, when we agonize about our diminished cosmic place and purpose, or when fanaticism is bubbling up around us – then, habits of thought familiar from ages past reach for the controls. The candle flame gutters. Its little pool of light trembles. Darkness gathers. The demons begin to stir." - Carl Sagan
