Why are they going after the flavors of the moment, instead they should draw talent from the Viking metal bands that are out there:

Hmmmm ... a bit too 'clean and shiny' for mine. They should draw inspiration directly from the comic, which seems to be a bit 'earthier' with cloth and metal materials, and Asgard just looking like a better version of a Norse village.

You've obviously not been reading the new Thor that takes place after Ragnarok finally took place. Odin is dead, Thor is the allfather, Asgard has relocated to earth, all the gods are trapped in mortal forms, They ally with Doom, etc.
