So, what is the deal with Nom and the
Spoiler
Did I miss something in the books. Don't think so. I assume it occurred after he split up from Karsa. I hope we find out more about it soon. Also, do you think there are
Spoiler

and no I sincerely doubt there are violet or pink moranth. Nor orange, or brown or black or white or even red for that matter. At least I doubt any of those exist *currently*, but hey, there mightve been more colors back in the day or to come

Errr, aren't there Black and Golden Moranth in the books?
Or did I just misread your statement, D'rek?

There are Black, Blue, Green, Gold and Silver I believe.

Okay, Pink would be cool though. The Moranth I believe are confident enough in their manhood to pull it off.

Purple is my bet. They seem like they would have a lot of emo tendencies so it would suit them.

I thought he found the invested moranth munitions on the ship where they eventually harpooned one of those cat fish? I could be thinking of something else though

negative. You may be thinking of Trull finding a crate of cussers in the Nascent, which also occured in HoC...

Well I'm fairly sure that the only ones we've had confirmed for sure are the Blue, Black, Gold, Silver and Green, as the Travelling Sack said

A few references have been made to the Red Moranth...guess it's a typo.
I don't get what the ensorcelled munitions were supposed to do-make a floating protective water bubble? Cute...

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

Where have the Red Moranth been mentioned? Quotes or it didn't happen.
Who knows. Maybe it protects from decay or exploding when magic is thrown at it? Maybe it protects salt in the air degrading the clay, making the munitions go ka-boom!

I think I remember hearing Red Musk, Red Masks brother, was Half Red Moranth.

I was wrong...
MoI, on page 299, said:
To one side of the Challenge Clearing, where Trotts and Humbrall Taur's champion would fight in a short while, was the thousand-strong camp of the Ahkrata. Distinguished by their characteristic nose-plugs, lone braids and multi-toned armour fashioned from Moranth victims -including Green, Black, Red and, here and there, Gold Clans - they were the smallest contingent, having travelled farthest, yet reputedly the meanest. Avowed enemies of the Ilgres Clan - who now fought for Brood - they could prove difficult in the fashioning of an alliance.

Interesting. I wonder where they are in the hierarchy...

Another thing about Torvald...who else thinks his wife is sleeping with Rallick? In TTH that was my interpretation. She is a dirty bird!

I like the way SE wrote that, eluding her infidelity is in direct correlation with the quality of her pottery. Would you blame her? How long has Torvald Nom been away? i mean his timeline issues are messed, just like anyone associated with karsa early in his journey. He could have been gone for 7 plus years stop me if am wrong i dont think most women in good physical health could wait anywhere near that long.

Kruppe mentions the Red Moranth when speculating about the ceremony where Torvald got a blessing from the Blue. The next couple sentences also mention the Violet and Mauve Moranth, though.
