Come on Cougar, that's such a Trekkie statement
I think its time for some Eldar to make an appearance...

Cant believe how little artwork regarding the Eldar is out there, cant get no pointy eared bastid pics...

When I was a kid I played, gave up when I was about 13, but I still have all of them in a cupboard somewhere. Mostly unmade, I would save up to buy them, start the first one, fuck up the paintjob and give up in a sulk.
Started with Blood Angels because I liked the insane fury. But I prefer WH Fantasy, where like Cougar *shudder* I collected Dwarfs.
And Ultramarines are sooo lame.

I always thought Space Marines were totally weak compared to how good they were supposed to be when you read the fiction etc
Yeah, completely. These 7 foot superhumans had a massive +1 to toughness or something

Space Wolves, Eldar, High Elves (plus a bit of Chaos in both games) for me! When we get a new camera I'll have to post my Tyrion at some point...

I liked the Everqueen and her handmaidens. They were awesome, but sadly cut out in later additions, so It would be hard for me to field my best High Elf army these days.
And teclis running around with white lions, they were also awesome, though sadly nerfed quite heavily in later additions.
The same with the repeater bolt thrower...
*sigh*

Oh. my. god. You fucking geeks. I literally don't understand a thing you are all saying. I'm going back to the Star Trek thread.

Yeah, it never occurred to me at the time the contradiction inherent in my thinking. "Star Trek's for nerds, Im not watching that! Come on, let's go play Warhammer! Then after we can watch Star Wars!"
If it makes it any better, I was collectively shamed into giving them up by the time my balls had dropped, although I think the astronomical prices had more to do with it.
How much are they now? If memory serves, blister packs were going up by an average of about £150 per hour when I last checked. £7 for one little man is criminal.

150 pounds per hour? WTF is that?
When I last worked there - admittedly nearly 4 years ago - blister packs varied from $AU16 to about $30 or so. I don't think the price would have gone
up too much since then.
Blister packs are the ones that have 1-3 figures in them and hang on the hooks. For 150 pounds (around $AU375-400 or thereabouts) you get the army
boxes.
Walked into the Brisbane Mall store when on leave over Xmas and saw that they have new super-duper sized figure cases plus LUGGAGE BAGS with wheels
like you see at the airport, that can hold multiple figure cases. That's just freaky! For the GW fanatic who needs to carry a full variety of options ...

Cheers,
La Sombra, explain THAT to customs and immigration
