And...you just added me as a friend. We weren't friends before?!?!?! D:

EDIT: More to the point, did you just rep me five times in a row? Epic! XD

Nah I didn't do the friending thing much til recently.

Yeah, I figured you deserved some sort of payment for your efforts so far, and if I gave you Aussie dollars your entire economy might be overwhelmed.

Alright, I consider the Character Creation Guide to be officially 'completed' - everything you need is up there, and if you want more detail or alternatives I'm afraid you're going to have to go to the Lexicanum, because I can't really put much more detail without it becoming 'pointless'.

This means you have one (1) week to get your characters together - if you need help, don't hesitate to ask, send me revisions (though, please, keep it to one character-related message to the TLI account per person? The new system works that one convo 'thread' only uses one message space, so if you send me three PMs entitled 'character' or similar, not only is it confusing it uses inbox space...) and so forth.

After that week (during which time I will endeavour to expand upon the W40k thread to provide you with more background knowledge) I will be fully organising the game, if not sooner.

Thanks guys!

Public Service Announcement:

Alright, we're at 8 players so far. But there are plenty of people on the sign-up list who haven't submitted a character yet, at least six of whom didn't specify that they couldn't play before December.

So

LET ME KNOW ASAP IF YOU THINK YOU CAN'T BE READY TO PLAY NEXT MONDAY

I won't hold it against you (honest). To those of you who signed up and mentioned you can't play until December:

LET ME KNOW IF THIS MEANS YOU WILL BE PLAYING FROM THE START ASAP.

If you were planning on starting late/observing that's still fine (I am still going to be running the first 'mission' as a 'practice' for you guys to get into things) but if you want to get some practice in, it doesn't matter if you're a total n00b, that's partially what this is for.

And people who didn't give me explicit times when you'd be free, can you try and let me know? It's OK if you just say "I'm not sure when I'll be free" but I'd rather know if possible - we'll all be playing whenever we can, but if there is an obvious overlap it's nice to know.

Thanks guys! :)

I'll be around at the hours I play mafia (that is to say, during my time at work, roughly 9.15 to 5 most days), with activity peaks around lunch and day's end. I may be able to dedicate an hour in the evening every once in a while or so, but that's going to be incidental occurance.

I should get sparkling new internet on Thursday, so from next monday is good for me - posting times will be mainly in the GMT evenings, although I might hop on at work if things are going slowly (can't say at this point what my workload is going to be)

will there be anywhere for us to discuss the game? Are you planning on alts or will people be able to tell which character is theirs?

I'd like new alts with character names that change every game and appropriate avatars, personally, though that might be a little more effort for you.

Also next Monday is my birthday but I'll be boozing on either Friday or Saturday so I'll be able to grab some time on the day itself.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

I'm still undecided. I'd have a vote on it but I don't think enough people care one way or another to vote. :p

Regardless, there will be a companion 'OOC' thread for discussion of the game, and the 'Spectators Lounge' is effectively spoilarz, so people can see how things go down (player's private thoughts, evil plots, etc). But you won't get access to that until after a game, if you're a player.

That's cool, Illy. I'm considering it, I really am....the only trouble I can foresee is that it's an added thing to manage, for people to deal with, and while it adds flavour and will possibly enhance the RP, I'm not sure if that outweighs the workload. However, two requests for alts so far...unless anyone else raises an objection to the idea I will probably end up doing it. :pirate:

Worst case scenario just let us change the names and find our own avatars, I suppose.

Yup, always an option. Though I'd do the names for you. Easier. XD

I think it might enhance play - however, the work by the mod in creating them may be the issue... and I am not yet completely sold on juggling a mafia alt and my regular plus an RPG alt.

You should have thought about that before saying yes to the Mafia game, then. (yes I am still bitter about D'rek killing me accidentally in the last game I played, why do you ask)
