We should set up a time for Mac to wave at everyone in North America. It'd be neat.
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.

Have to be careful though, the displaced air from his hand movement could cause a hurricane. And if it's across the Atlantic Ocean, we could be talking about a new tsunami. The last one was caused by a 5 minute self-please session he did outside of his special confinement zone.

I remember that. I begged him to take his pants back on but he was just all "I must needs pleasure!"

Hah, your mom had to remove your jumper! Jumper? Really? That's not a term we use in the States. I thought only girls wore jumpers...

Have a good BBQ, everybody.

The slower trains, which will be known hereafter as the Mez-Train, go from Kings X every 52mins past the hour, and take 1 hour 2mins.

The Mez-Train runs on the Kings Cross line. No need to co-ordinate trains with me though, the less time spent on trains, the better.

If Cougar will pick up Dag and myself, then I don't give a shit about you lot :p (I am not sure what services he may expect in return but I am willing to barter with Dag's virtues). If Cougar won't pick us up, then I will just get a train that gets in at a similar time to you guys so we can split cab fare. How many of us will there be? Would it be cheaper to call and book a mini-bus? Everyone uses Panther cabs in Cambridge, right?

The image of a mini-bus full of geeks on a day trip is making me laugh. A lot.

Okay, so here's my provisional agenda for Saturday:

I will be arriving by train from London as well, from either Kings Cross or Liverpool Street. Haven't decided yet what time exactely, but I'd like to make it to the BBQ around 2pm latest. Once I arrive in Cambridge, first I have to check-in at my hotel, which should be quite close to the railway station (or so the maps tell me). After I've put on some make-up and appropriate clothes (I hope a winter jacket will NOT be necessary this time :p ), I can go back to the station and meet you there. If Cougar really is such a sweetheart and would be willing to pick us up (I have no virtues to barter with, but I am sure he is a good person who will demand nothing but our eternal gratitude and admiration in return :p ) that would be great. If Cougar and the gods have other plans - well, that's fine as well. Taxi doesn't really cost much - iirc, last time me and Mr. B paid some 20 Pounds to get there, which is a laughable amount compared to taxi prices here in Vienna. I'm rather worried if the taxi driver will understand my English... last time there were apparently some misunderstandings regarding my pronunciation of Hetan and Mal's address... :p so English-speaking company would be welcome...

As I said, I'm aiming for the 2pm deadline, but depending on trains, I am still rather flexible as far as the time is concerned... Let me know how this fits into your plans. :p
The problem with people who have no vices is that generally you can be pretty sure they're going to have some pretty annoying virtues.

Oh, Im afraid a winter coat will likely be needed. And an umbrella, too, I'd say.

I've got no problem picking you guys up, we'll have to sort it out nearer the time.

I owe Mezla about 10 favours by now I reckon.

All this sounds dreadfully complicated. And here was I thinking all I had to do was get into England and catch a cab. I mean, how much could it cost when the whole country is like, 5 minutes drive from one end to the other? :p

I probably should start solidifying my schedule. Damn you. :p

Cheers,

Nobody wants to know the depraved depths I have had to sink to in order to get Cougar into this position. The feather duster, snooker balls and can opener are going back into storage until next time!

I hope you've given them a wash.

Actually the way I remember it , it was a camp bed, a chicken kebab, some bad porn and a mute girl called Candy.

So Mezla, Mrs Paleman and I are going to be getting ye olde slow train to Cambridge as well (from Baldock) so maybe we could co-ordinate and be on the same train to arrive at Cambridge at the same time.We met Dag last year and I'm quietly confident the experience wasn't that traumatic for her so if Cougar can accomodate 4 persons at once (only 3 with mammalian protruberences mind you) then maybe that would work. No pressure of course but Mrs Paleman did promise to kick Cougars ass so I thought that might just be a good enough enticement for us to have a small private 'girl beats boy' ass whoop in the car park at Cambridge train station before getting to the BBQ. Don't worry, Mrs Paleman promises not to injure any parts of the Cougar that would impair his driving abilities although there's a possibility of a gear stick being yanked (no reference to our buddies from across the pond) off.

Send me a PM if any of the above makes sense.

Given I probably live closest to the hosts bar the hosts themselves, I am very disappointed to be missing out this year due to being in China. I would be mightily impressed if you guys and gals (and northerners...) could make Sir Thursday have an alcoholic drink on my behalf... In fact I would be willing to pay for a video of it!

Attention Cougar, Dag and Paleman!

If it works for you guys, I am going to get the 12:42 from The Nage and arrive at Cambridge station for 13:27 (I got it wrong at the weekend by 11minutes, Cougar!). I can also arrive for 12:54 or 13:54 but the above time works best for my lie in, breakfast and pre-BBQ trip to the shops.

I am really looking forward to meeting lots of new and interesting people.... Perhaps I should go to someone elses BBQ :D
