Caught up finally - seems to be mostly day 1 outbursts and day 1 cases. Hard to tell what's note worthy and what isn't at this point. Haven't noticed anything that could be classified as a slip yet. If it's not a slip, I don't see why scum would make noise at all. I am not defending anyone, just pointing out that so far this game has been really pathetic. I'll stay around for a while to talk, if anyone is still here.
Haven't read properly what this thing on Omtose is about, I am going to do that now.

I'm here. And how has this Day 1 been any more pathetic than other Day 1's?

I didn't say it was any more or less pathetic than any other game.

Why is this quest of "slips" anyways? Have we been so spoiled by the odd drunk killer? I hardly think that what was discussed about Ruse, Silanah, D'riss, Kessobahn and Emurlahn qualify as "slips".

Hello!
Finally read through, and whilst the preliminary CASE! by Korv on Silanah (Ok, ok, simple outright, accusing speculation, not case, not case, geez...) doesn't read like anything more than RP to me, it did help to bring out some interesting reactions from people. Right now, I'm most willing to put a vote down on Shadow, for his 'well, if you guys say so, I don't really know, I'm just a poor inno me' vote before he left.
However:
Day 1 lynches. Pretty ludicrous most of the time, right? No, I don't mean we shouldn't lynch, of course we should, some sort of info tends to be better than no info at all. But most day 1 lynches are either of innos who made genuine tiny slip-ups which are blown out of all proportion, because we need something, anything, to go on, or in the past we've also ended up lynching a low/non-poster in order to give out a warning to all those other low contributors out there. Inevitably, this low/non-poster was also inno.
Here's the however part: Evils want to fit in, they don't want to get noticed, on day 1 more than any other day they won't stick their neck out, and will be very careful about what they say. So, I propose to find Mr/Ms Absolutely Average, and lynch him/her! That is, of course, if someone doesn't find any actual convincing evidence in the meantime. Give me an hour or two, whilst I analyse post count and post content, to find Mr/Ms Absolutely Average!

I'm not gonna lie, but Meanas is on to something. That's honestly why Shadow tripped my wires. Looking forward to what you come up with!

Haha, that's actually very true, although I'm really curious to see what such a case will look like
Edit: I mean the "Average" part

Has there been a drunk killer tripped on day 1? I don't remember. :smileswaitingly:

The point of "slip cases" is to put pressure on people and see how they react and to see how others react. Ruse had to post his desktop to defend. It starts building a book of interactions which are necessary to have when the Night Kills start rolling in. What kind of cases do you want on Day 1, two people skulking in the back alley with ski masks?

We definitely need more cases, like the one on Shadow that might be coming. Might just as well read the thread again from the beginning...

Are you talking to me? I'm perfectly aware of the purpose of cases, that's why I never attack someone else's case even if I find it poor, until the concerned person comes to answer or I'm pushed to follow.
My point was that what we had so far are not "slips", but behavioral analyses of different players. I didn't like when they were called "slips" because that's a way to dismiss the case without looking at it. Honestly, correct "slips" catches are very rare, the only one I can think of is the first Aliens game where a company guy misunderstood that the Company was scum for the rest of us and basically revealed on thread. That and that drunk Jumpsuit killer once.

Galain, that bascially answered my question. Tellan ,I'm all about applying pressure.
And what's your problem with Shaft? The original is camp gold. GOLD!
