I finally got around to watching Kick Ass - pretty good fun, but didn't really live up to what I expected from the geekgasms people were having when it was released.

I love that movie. It's visually cool, ridiculous fun :thumbup:


Watched Centurion this weekend. It was a bit Malazanesque, although some of it felt a little forced. Good entertainment, though.

This line made me chuckle:

Things and stuffs...and other important objects.

Truth. Everybody and their dog told that I (in particular) would love that movie. I suppose the expectations ruined it a bit for me..

Clash of the Titans was not very good. At all. And, I came in with low expectations. I would have been pissed if I paid money to watch that in a theater.

3.5 out of 10.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Expendables last night.
Underwhelmed.
The cheesy lines were there but the timing was off on a few,
several big laughs from the audience.
To much plot and dialogue, not enough action coupled with a couple of horrid special effects brought the movie down.

The Mrs and I were talking about how after Julie Andrews dies, some a-hole is probably going to remake this into total dogshit.

I watched this documentary called The Dungeon Masters which follows the personal and gaming lives of three DMs. I was expecting something a little more comprehensive on RPGing, along the lines of Trekkies, but it turned out to be a lot more personal and focused mostly on the main three, with only a few minutes dedicated to more general interviews. Still, it was a pretty decent movie.

Watched THE MESSENGER on the weekend.
And i must say, while it is a rather slow drama slash damaged war vet kinda movie. It is rather good for what it is.
And Woody Harrelson does a brilliant job in this, well deserved that nomination.

id give it 7 folded American flags out of 10

I've been to the cinema to watch EXPENDABLES yesterday and I must say... THIS WAS B R I L L I A N T !!! Everything i hoped to see and more. I guess Shoot 'em Up has been de-throned as the best over-the-top action film ever. Bloody incredible - the cast, the fights, explosions and everything!

Also, it's another unofficial Warhammer 40k film - the black guy has a real motherfucking Bolter, it's amazing!

I know you dont care whether they were good or bad, I'm just sharing my misery.
