oh.. have you SEEN the spawn film??? god it was awful!
no i mean REALLY!
jeez.. mask? contrived P.O.S. imho, the original was very dark and the mssk was a killer.. its loki ffs.. not some nicey nicey supernancy...
(the comic DID rock tho)
Lone wolf and cub? well.. shogun assasin was a n alright film.. but again i think it suffers from its own infamy, and the only reason it was close to entertaining was the bodycount
blade is the only adaptation where i thought they stayed kinda close to the comic... i mean not too close.. but a good enough blend of what was there and what was realisticly possible on the big screen.
if you are looking for a close adaptation then try "ghost world"
but i warn ya.. its weird as hell..
and the spawn anime was good as well.
Im not saying that you have to like a film cos its faithful, but im saying ppl should have realistic exepctations of the film they watch, its never going to be what they imagined, even george lucas redid star wars with extra effects cos he had to make do..
im just sick of what i call "godzilla syndrome"
ppl go see a film about a huge monster famed for tearing up citys, then bitch and whine "it was just a bloody monster rippin up a rity! what the hells the point in that?" dont complain if it does what it says on the tin.. and if you are led to beleive its something its not, dont blame the film, blame the people who raised your expectations.
infuriating!

How could this slip to page 2?
Well, here it is again.
Watched constantine some time ago and it was... surprisingly good. Despite keanu reeves.
Also watched hostage, which was pretty good.
Going to watch The Machinist today...

What's "Hero"? Not heard of that one, Loose. Not seen the other one either but it did get a lot of good reviews, iirc.
Spirited Away is a great film.

Last movie I saw in theaters was Ocean's 12. What a piece of crap that one was.

Enjoy over the top violence? Rent the Lone Wolf and Cub series. There are a total of 6 films (7 if you count the reedited Samurai Showdown.) If you can't rent them, buy them!
Samurai films are so much better than Kung Fu movies.
I thought they only made one movie called Shogun Assassin from that comic...
Legalise drugs! And murder!

Pfft. I don't see everyone's problem with Troy. Were you there? Did you see them doing exactly what it doesn't show in the book. It only said "Based on The Illiad". It was an enjoyable film, get OVER it!!

Quite a few films do that to me rodeo, loved watching Laurence Olivier in Julius Caesar and ask one of his troops the time. The guy looked at his wrist. Muppet.
Just looking at the Arthur film as an action flick. Still least theyre basing it on the Arthur who was around in the 5th Century.

How can they have screwed up the historic accuracy when people aren't that sure the guy existed
From Cornwall to Cumbria there are places saying they have proof Aurther lived there.
I always liked the sword in the stone anyway, quality flick what with the big blue hats and long beards

I saw "Team America: World Police" last night. Funny as hell, disturbing, and massively rude all rolled up into one big old puppet movie!
The title song is the best though. "America, F.uck YEAH!" It's been stuck in my head all day!

Terrible movies rule. Grab some beer and watch with some mates and laugh yourself silly at how bad they are. Good times.

Is it OK to double post? No? Too bad...
Two Westerns I really, really hate: High Noon, and McCabe and Mrs. Miller. Pansy propoganda!

I saw a French film the other day. Everyone talked funny and it had a sad ending.

@Lorn - It was released a month or so ago in North America starring Tom Hanks and directed by the Coen brothers (Big Lebowski). Haven't seen it or the original version.
