Okay, lets see. Saw Anchorman, AVP, and the Incredibles.

Anchorman was kind of a let down to be honest. Those kinds of movies just aren't that funny when you're not high.

Incredibles was pretty cool.

AVP stunk. Predators helping humans?!

Something else I saw, although not a movie, was the Trailer Park Boys Xmas Special. Twas awesome Posted Image

I saw Blade 1 twice, once while sober, once while piss ****ing drunk. Drunk was better Posted Image

but I heard 2 was...ehm...bad... like worse than Matrix 2 bad... and that would mean it sets a new all time low.

The Jet Li movies I have seen are Romeo must Die, Lethal Weapon 4, The One, and so on, so my bubble is safely in tact. On the other hand, this movie is getting a lot of hype and I have heard that Fist of Legend, the Once Upon a Time in China series, and the Swordsman series are really good, so I still plan on seeing it.

It's so hard to find a good martial arts movie which doesn't star Bruce Lee. The Disney versions of Jackie Chan's movies leave a lot to be desired and most of his American movies are mediocre at best (including movies like Rush Hour!) The best thing I have seen him in is the original Drunken Master.

Also, the mix of action and drama sounds like Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. I really liked that movie.

There are huge number of modern Asian action movies I want to see e.g. Azumi (new movie from the makers of Versus) and Thai Warrior (a new martial arts movie that uses Mu Thay!!!)

i thought flying daggers was good, but then im a sucker for those chinese films and their tales of love and death. tere was a lot of substance in it though.

i just couldnt enjoy equilibrium, i thought the fight scenes were pretty terrible. chrisitian bale standing there with only muzzle flashes and him in idfferent poses doesnt equate to quality, just absurdity.

im a big fan of galactica, old and new. and hitchhikers guide should be great.

Ah Barry Lyndon indeed a bit slow nice soundtrack though. Good study music.

Been watching Once Upon a Time in America again but that long version was just too long to watch in one sitting. Gonna watch the last 1 1/2 hours later. On the plus side I am converting more people to the movies brilliance.

pah, the best Austin Powers film was the first one..

Troy was ok, nothing to write home about but not horrible.. Ofc, the fact that the story originaly takes place in the Bronze ages should have had made them realise certain complications in using steel weapons.. The movie was ok nevertheless though, but most definitly not great

Saw 'Shark Tale' recently, as well 'The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen' on DVD. 'Shark Tale' is OK except that I've grown a bit tired of that whole hyper-Will Smith schtick, and that was to the fore throughout the movie. Some of the others sounded a bit tired and disinterested- Robert DeNiro and Jack Black in particular. Not great, in the end.

'LXG' was extraordinarily bad. Only watch if you are a Sean Connery fan, to be honest.

I love movie theaters where once you're in the door, they don't care what flics you go see...

THE VILLAGE - I fall on the side of those who just expected more from an MNS movie. It was decent, and the female lead is excellent, but ultimately *MILD SPOILERS* the big twist has been a staple of sci-fi for decades, and at least i thought it was easy to see coming. Worth seeing if there's nothing else playing that you REALLY want to see. Probably worth the DVD rental.

MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE - Great film. Twisted. Tense. Trusts the audience to figure out a lot without spoon-feeding it to them. Not as good as the original, but worth seeing in its own right.

- Abyss, has always found Meryl Streep threatening.
