OK, went to the casting thing, ended up queuing three hours to get to the decider of worthiness, an hour from the end. Both my friend Very Little John and I were told to cut our hair [linet]and get a damned job, you hippies[/linet] to an inch or two below the ears and come back tomorrow, where we'd be able to skip the queue and go straight in. VLJ's girlfriend got rejected instantly, though. OH WELL
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

I'm going to see The Pineapple Express tonight. Here's hoping it's as funny as I think.
And so the First denied their Mother,
in their fury, and so were cast out,
doomed children of Mother Dark.

It's the first Pixar movie that's ever grabbed my attention. Mostly because I was raised on sci-fi and this was a robot in space. It came and grabbed the kid in me and brought him out.
Besides, Wall-E, the character, is just so cool.

No! Thanks for reminding me!

1pm tomorrow I'm watching it ... already got the tickets. It's going to be hilarious, I can tell.

Oh, it was hilarious. Mind you, having just finished a marathon pot smoking weekend I was still a little burnt out. Heck, the theatre as a whole was getting burnt out by the end of it. Not as good as some of their previous ones, but pretty awesome for a stoner flick.

Despite all that I'll see it again for sure.

I dunno, I thought it was pretty damn funny and I wasn't even stoned.

It all ran together well. I barely stopped laughing. And after not smoking for ages, I came home and lit up.

A crack head!

I watched In the Valley of Elah last night. It was pretty long winded, but the pay off was pretty good. It was a good film overall.

But the bit at the end with the flag, while interesting, just felt like the director thought I was stupid and wouldn't get the point of the film.

I watched Redbelt...it was pretty "meh" for me. It's got some vintage Mamet moments, but it's really not all that engrossing. The ending was totally lame. That is all

Just watched Forbiden Kingdom and Mummy3 (part of the benefit of business trips).

Forbidden Kingdom was awesome. I laughed at the funny parts and started kung fu fighting at the fight scenes. Jet Li and Jackie Chan are a great team. Reminded me a little of Kung Fu Panda.

Mummy 3 was teh suck. Boring, insipid, hackneyed, predictible. A couple of good fight scenes ruined with lame dialogue and very little good fight scenes. The bad parts were even worse. But Yetis are awesome and the special effects when Jet Li turns into terra cotta were really good.

I just watched Hellboy 2 and thought it was damn good.

It surprises me that this guy has made two fantastic Comic book films, yet other jerks can't even make good normal movies.

I can't wait for Hellboy 3!
