I watched In Bruges last night. As has already been stated, this movie is good stuff. Watch it. It is one of the better films I've seen in some time. :)

@Zanth - Yeah, I watched The Nines a while back. Definitely weird. I liked the whole video game angle, though; well, kind of, anyway. It definitely didn't bore me...

In about an hour and a half I'm off to see The Incredible Hulk, I'm expecting a lot of "Hulk Smash!" and a great deal of wanting to stamp on Ed Norton's face for being a smug SOB.
If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do. If some one maintains that two and two are five, or that Iceland is on the equator, you feel pity rather than anger, unless you know so little of arithmetic or geography that his opinion shakes your own contrary conviction. … So whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants. Just saw for the very fist time, Alien. It was good, if a tad slow. I enjoyed it and I have the second one to look forward to at some point soon...

Excuse me but.....What?

Oh and btw The Incredible Hulk is very, very average. Begins quite well but peters out a lot towards the end. I even found "Hulk Smash!" to be a disappointment.

Punisher: War Zone trailer is up. It is starring Ray Stevenson from Rome fame.

I actually quite liked the last one, and like the Punisher as a character quite a bit.

After seeing the trailer for this one though, I have to saw, it looks pretty bad. What is up with the voice ("Sometimes I'd like to get my hands on God", what were they thinking?), and every time he tries and looks angry he just looks constipated. Ray Stevenson looks mean enough as is; trying to make him look meaner is like the ridiculousness they pulled with Angelina Jolie during Tom Raider, they look it way over-the-top.

I wonder what their budget was for colored neon lights?
This makes the comic geek in me sad.

I just watched In Bruges. A very good movie! I was pleasantly surprised.

I went in not expecting much but found myself giggling the whole way through.

I read a review that said the new M. Night Shamalangadingdong movie is awful. THat makes me sad. He's made some good ones, I was hoping this would rock. It still might though, Unbreakable got some bad reviews and it is excellent.

Are his books any good?

I sort of get the impression that like Stephen King, Shamasomthingsomethings books don't translate that well.

His last 2 movies were awful, this is is supposed to be worse. I read some spoilers on what it is about, and it is by far the worst reveal in one of his movies yet (worse than The Village).

It's a worse idea than basing a movie on your own fairy tale that sucked in the first place. Which is saying a lot.

I think he is done in Hollywood after this one. I haven't heard of one person who actually is happy they went and saw it. I could go on from what I've read, but since I haven't seen it I'll leave it at that.

I wasn't even aware he wrote books. I've liked all of his movies, but haven't seen Lady in the Water, mostly because of horrible word of mouth about it. I enjoyed the others, even the Village. Of those I have seen, I think I like Unbreakable the most, Signs the least.

The only film he's made that I thought was any good was Sixth Sense, and that was just because of the win-filled twist that explained it all...

Signs was awful.

Lady in the Water was an abomination.

I couldn't believe it actually made money.....

Signs was also pretty good. But 6th Sense was definitely his best one... Another reason Robot Chicken rules! WHAT A TWIST!!! (Feel free to rep me for this one. :D)

I am now going round to a house full of extremely hawt girls to watch a movie. Dunno which one, but we always seem to end up watching really girly ones (Hitch, Moulin Rouge, The Notebook etc.) Hopefully it will be a better film, but then the company is always good so I'm not too bothered. ;)

SPOILERS FOR THE M. NIGHT FILM, DON'T READ UNLESS YOU WANT TO SAVE CASH FOR THE TICKET

Spoiler

Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Seriously? That's awesomely hilarious ;) Was there an explanation as to why?

@Apt - since when has "it wasn't funny" stopped people repping?
