Watched three newer movies over the weekend

Halloween(Rob Zombie version)

Really liked this movie. I like how it showed Myers as a kid and how he became the way he was. Zombie really shows something, IMO, as a horror director.

I am Legend

Also liked this movie. Granted knew how it was going to end going in, but thought it was a decent watch. Had some creepy moments and a couple of spots that made me jump, even though I knew it was coming. Overall not bad.

Real life of Dan(steve Carell, not sure if this is the exact title or not)

Really liked this movie. It was a predictable romantic comedy, but for me, Carell saves it. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I watched Forbidden Kingdom and it was OK. Nothing to get excited about. The fight scenes were pretty good. The acting, however, was barley passable, and it was too much of a PG-rated kiddie fest. The Chan/Jet Li collaboration could been so much better. Oh well, it was mildly entertaining.

I also watched 21, the blackjack (card counting) movie with Kevin Spacey. It was pretty damned good, imo. Good acting throughout. Nice plot line that didn't get bogged down in any way. I really enjoyed it, much more than I thought I would. One of the better films I've seen lately.

I really enjoyed Rob Zombies version aswell. It loses some of it's appeal by the end, where it becomes more hack and slash than psycological thriller, but it was still good.

The end had me just sitting there staring at the screen.

I also loved it when Meyers fucked up those sick prison wardens.

That is such a low blow. I would have expected better of you. :D

Anyway, I suspect that my next film outing will be for Zimmerframe Jones and the Crystal Replacement Hip before the madness that is the summer blockbuster season decends upon us.
If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do. If some one maintains that two and two are five, or that Iceland is on the equator, you feel pity rather than anger, unless you know so little of arithmetic or geography that his opinion shakes your own contrary conviction. … So whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants. I'd recently dug a pit for my expectations, but it appears you have access to some tunneling equipment

I'm sitting and watching [The terminator film that must not be mentioned] also known as T3.

It's the first time since I saw it in the cinema. I've not had any desire to watch it again. Being bored and finding a relatively good quality streaming version I'm watching it again now, and nothings changed... its still crap.

In the opening part the boob-robot shoots good robot with an anti robot gun. She's designed to kill his kind. And still the terminator survives... WHAT IS THIS BULLSHIT!? I'm already halfway through the film but I remember that all through the film the terminator is wholy ineffective and practically useless instead of playing a moving target. Why didn't they use their head and make a clever decision. Don't settle with one good terminator. They should had written it so that, like in the comics, the good guys were sending dozens or hundreds of Terminators back to defend the lieutenants and Connor. That way you would have had an endless amount of awesome terminator deaths and battle scenes that wasn't just a woman beating up arnold.

Connor is just a pussy. Everything that his mother taught him is wasted. All the attitude and will to fight from T2 is gone. I know that of course there would be a change when he thinks the war is won, but really. He whines and bitches. He can't do a simple break in? He can't stand up for himself? He can't even make simple decisions? WHAT THE BLOODY FUCK?! There's nothing funny about it. There's nothing sympathetic. Even the terminator sent to protect him doesn't like hima nd treats him like a used rag.

The terminators are generally incredibly loquacious. It annoys the hell out of me. They actually had the good terminator say "Talk to hand" to a clerck, John didn't even teach it that. They move like humans, they fidget, they make jokes, they SMILE!?! What the hell, even that chick from the series does a better acting job.

The only good thing about the movie is that the world gets nuked. Serves them right.

Still an hour left. Stupid robots.

Saw Lars and the Real Girl. I was pleasantly surprised. Good movie, surprisingly moving.

I watched Will Ferrell's Semi-Pro today. Oh man. It really wasn't that good. Woody Harrelson and many other funny people were in it too, but were really just phoning it in. Too bad, as I heard people say that this was Ferrell's funniest film since Anchorman (which I loved). It had some decent laughs, I guess, but the whole Ferrell as bumbling-idiot-sports-star is played out.

I know, it's out the 24th here in Denmark. I haven't been this psyked about a film since Transformers last summer.

I wish they'd make it a trilogy...

A Transformers Trilogy? I heard rumours of another one coming out in maybe another year or two... Could have been purely rumours though, especially as I can't remember where I heard it. :D

There were originally supposed to be five Indian Jones movies. If this one does well, they are considering making one more with Harrison Ford to complete the five, and then a trilogy with just Shia Lebouf.

Transformers is planned to be a trilogy at least. Lebouf is signed for three movies I believe.
