I need your help here guys... twould be great if someone could tell me the title of the following movie or direct me somwhere where I might find with some research (just spent half about an hour searching the web, grrr). A couple of years ago I saw a french cloak and dagger movie. I don't remember toomuch of the plot. There was something about rivalling epee schools, a daughter and so no. Sorry, I know that's pretty vague Posted Image Anyhow, the main reason why I remember this movie are the fencing scenes, which blew me away. I've never seen any fencing in a cloak and dagger movie that was so realistic and aslo pretty bloody. The main characters' signature move - he was a master of the blade btw - was to stab his opponents directly into the brain via a spot between the eyebrows.

It would be great if you could help me find it, it's bugging me for a while that I don't remember the title, and I'd like to watch that movie again. Thanks in advance Posted Image

Damn you Abeleyn, now I must see this film. And with my usual luck, it won't be available in the States (probably Bush's fault).

Has anyone seen Motorcycle Diaries? It's About Che and his medical bud (forget his name) and they travel around south america on a motorcycle where they eventually end up at a leper-village. Kickin' movie, bit of tear jerker, made me wonder what happened to Dr.Che that he turned away from medicine to politics.

I too caught "Hitchhikers." I quite enjoyed it. I was laughing at several points. Surely worth my $7.50 to see it! Posted Image

Saw "Capturing the Friedmans" this weekend. Documentary about a family where the father and youngest son are convicted of hundreds of counts of child molestation. Juxtaposes interviews and file footage with the family's near-obsessive home movies (NOT of molestations, btw). Very surreal...
OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.

So basically it was exactly as pointless and absurd as the original movie AND the book.

Bought and watched Richard Donner's Ladyhawke in dvd.

Great story. As a film it aimed high but never hit the bullseye. Actors were quite good, Rutger Hauer (again), Michelle Pfeiffer and young Matthew Broderick.

Reminds me quite a lot of Kevin Costner's the Prince of Thieves.

I'm rather ashamed to say I watched "Scooby Doo 2" the other night. What's worse is I actually enjoyed it more than "Sin City." Posted Image

Woops. I got confused because Uma is in another Linklater movie that I saw recently.

Ong Bak any good?

For a movie, it's horrendously bad. Tony Ja has the personality of a doormat. He's not the type of hero you root for. The plot is incredibly cheesy and stupid, even for a martial arts movie. Moreover, the triple replay of the martial art moves from different angles is so annoying. Finally, the fight choreography has nothing on stuff choreographed by Woo Ping Yuen or Bruce Lee.

On the other hand, if you just want to see some amazing acrobatics, Ong Bak is hard to beat. Just be warned, that's all you'll get.

Casshern? Never heard of it Posted Image

As for the new sound system... nice Posted Image

I'm thinking about getting my PC hooked up to the bedroom (or possibly even downstairs) TV. The logistics are a bit tricky though. I need an S-Vid to "normal video" lead, which along with all the other cabling, might be a waste of money if I can't get a decent multimedia remote control.

Does anyone know of a *GOOD* RF PC remote control (one that can go through walls)? The only ones I've seen are USB, and need to be in the same room.

Anyone else looking forward to Batman Begins? Has anyone seen it yet? I dunno when it's out everywhere so maybe it's a global release.

I can't watch the bit at the beginning of Robocop when the guy gets killed before becoming Robocop. Come to think of it, the rest of that movie is tough to watch but for different reasons Posted Image I also can't do the bit in Total Recall on the escalators when Arnie uses the guy as a shield. Then, pretty much any scarey movie, I have to close my eyes. And the bit where he climbs in the toilet in Trainspotting as well ..... I could go on Posted Image
