It's literally an hour and a half about how it sucks ass to get old and that there is fuck all you can do about it.

Watched 'Terrible Bosses' or w/e it was called. A couple good moments... a quick twist you can see coming. Not a terrible movie but nothing to write home about. 6/10 assfloss'. Yes, it is in the movie.

"The Road" - brilliant performance by Aragorn, I think. An appropriately bleak picturing of the setting. I found I actually did genuinely care for the main piar throughout the film. The ending, however, is ambiguous to me - I'm not entirely sure these guys at the end are the good guys at all. Don't know if it was intended, but the woman somehow sent chills down my spine. But then again, they have a dog, so they can't be bad, right? Right?
"Chronicles of Narnia" - some two weeks past I was really bored and decided to watch it when I saw it on TV. As much as I always get infuriated at things like kids becoming the war heroes of another world (seriously, that centaur guy could win the whole war singlehandedly - and should!), it was a really nice tale, a classic fairytale, in fact! Also, I was creeped out to find the Witch rather... hot, at times, especially during the final battle. Please note I haven't read or heard of the books before the film came out.
"Plunkett & Macleane" - not exactly rocket science but I actually did enjoy watching it. Could be because Robert Carlyle is always such a great bloke to watch. Simple, not very imaginative, but pleasantly disconnected and easy to keep track of. Good for hangovers.

Just got back from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows pt 2.
(Qualifier: I'm a massive HP fan, your mileage may vary)
This movie absolutely delivers. Yes, there are some changes, some more slight than others, but all together it is the pay-off for the last two movies. Absolutely loved it. Best since Goblet of Fire easily. 9.0/10. In order DH pt 2, GoF, OotP, PoA, HBP, DH pt 1, SS, CoS.
It is going to make an absolute metric fuck-ton of money.

I was thinking more along the lines of setting Box Office records. Opening Day and Weekend, I think. It won't catch Avatar, but it'll be huge.

Just got back from HP: The Deathly Hallows- and LOVED it. By far the best summer movie I've seen and can't wait to see it again. Really hit the best parts from the book and presented them very well. Snape's scenes were fantastic and there are no slow moving parts of this movie- a lot of action and the "slower" scenes only enhanced the film. I was disappointed with the ends of Order of the Phoenix and Half-Blood Prince but not with this one- really great stuff. Me mucho likey.

It was head and shoulders above Grindhouse. Brad Pitt was good, but Christoph Waltz was the biznitty bizz-omb, shizzy shizzz-nit.
And yeah, Quint is big on the self aggrandizing dialog in his flicks... it's become tedious. Overall though Inglorius Basterds was a nice experience.

Recently watched Inside Job, a documentary on the Global Financial Crisis. Disgusted didn't even come close to my reaction after finishing it. Truly despicable stuff.

I watched the extended edition of Fellowship of the Ring on blu-ray. For me, the Mines of Moria and the battle at Amon Hen (particularly Boromir's last stand) are my favourite parts of all three movies. There's something truly awesome about those sequences.

Indeed. I actually saw HP & THE DEATHLY HALLOWS P2 on Friday night and it was everything I wanted from the ending since I am such a big fan of the books...loved it all the way through. CVan't wait to own the complete blu ray set!
it also crushed the ALL time record opening weekend box office...it made 476 million worldwide...opening weekend...that is a staggering number!

Just re-watched SUMMER WARS last night...and goddamn if that movie isn't so amazing with some of THE most likable characters ever...not to mention emotions and drama I don't expect from anime.
Going to pick up a copy of THE GIRL WHO LEAPT THROUGH TIME which I've seen but never owned and re-watch that as well.
