Disney's Robin Hood movie is like an instruction manual on how to be a furry and The Lion King has Simba fucking his sister. TERRIBLE. But it does have Jeremy Irons as a voice actor, which is pretty sweet I guess.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Illy didn't like the Sword in the Stone because he felt bad for the girl squirrel who was tricked by young Arthur.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

I actually quite liked that movie - although there are many people who do feel bad for the squirrel, and one of them drew pictures of what a human version of that squirrel would look and act like, and called it Hazel, and then I stopped paying attention because I was too busy laughing at how pathetic the whole thing was. Seriously, it was tangibly sad, and not in a 'awwww' way.

In the box marked "Films I Want To See Now!": Scott Pilgrim vs The World
If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do. If some one maintains that two and two are five, or that Iceland is on the equator, you feel pity rather than anger, unless you know so little of arithmetic or geography that his opinion shakes your own contrary conviction. … So whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants. Yeah that looks pretty sweet, although hopefully one day Michael Cera will get a part that isn't the same as the kid from Arrested Development...

I've been on a movie viewing spree as of late. Among those I've watched are:
1. The Godfather. I wholeheartedly regret not watching this sooner. Just incredible.
2. Up In The Air. Solid acting by all involved, a very enjoyable film.
3. Moon. Probably one of the better sci-fi flicks I've seen in years.
4. Ocean's Twelve. A great ensemble cast, not as good as Ocean's Eleven but I preferred the European setting.
5. Ocean's Thirteen. An enjoyable end to the trilogy but definitely the weakest film of the bunch.
6. The Transporter 1-3. Not a bad piece to turn the logical part of your brain off towards. Jason Statham is a solid action movie actor.
7. Shutter Island. I really enjoyed the beginning and ending, but you could have cut out at least 1/2 hour from the middle though.
8. Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus. The less said about this piece of crap the better.
I'll also add that "The Sword In The Stone" is one of my fav Disney movies, the female squirrel be damned!

in other news - Stomp the yard.
Do Not Watch This.
I added capital letters to every word to ensure you realised how serious I am.
One of the flatmates has a collection choc full of shit dvds, the majourity of which can be described very simply.
Guy moves town/school because of fighting/legal problem. He has a talent/ attribute, that makes him special.
Theres a crew of people that are into something that fits with his talent/ attribute. Even thoguh he vowed to neverr do it again/ avoid trouble for the sake of his mother/ family/ dead brother he ends up in the middle of it, cue crises, big finish where he wins everyones hearts and mind.
Tripe in short, but stomp the yard was a higher level of tripe, this is the kind of tripe you get in pedigree chum, not that tripe tripe you get in asda home brand dog food.
in a word SHITE
122 dogturds out of 3, its that shitty

Watched How To Train Your Dragon, which was decent in parts, funny in parts, but mostly just a dull stereotype of all modern animation movies.
Not to mention the big badass dragon was designed so it looked about as frightening as a Pug. The 3D effects were spectacular though. They're quickly getting control of how to use the technology efficiently it seems.

Thirteen is the weakest? Are you kidding me?!
Ocens twelve was so bad that even now, so many years later I become angry when thinking about it. It's up there among Spiderman 3 and Terminator 3 it the category of the shittiest of shitty manuscripts.
They have this really poor attack plan that gets them caught, then the B team does a really crappy attempt at rescuing them and wind up arrested as well, only Matt Damons legendary super criminally clever parents save their asses. Then there's this weird final scene where Clooney reveals it was all a ploy to trick the sleazy frenchman. You see, they meant to get caught by the police and registered by Interpol, it was all a part of their plan.
What. Utter. Bullshit.
The third one was okay, but only really seemed that way because 12 was so bad.

Stomp the Yard is a genre film (young people doing interesting things and dealing with romantic/not-truly-heavy drama etc). It does the job well and is pretty visually entertaining to watch. I liked it. But then again, I'm a recent generation American who watches these kinds of movies absolutely trashed with my friends and tastes may differ regarding that stuff. In essence, the movie is NOT designed to be taken seriously, and one really does have to turn off one's brain and just enjoy the ride.

How can you denigrate the Laser Dance scene? This too is a movie that does not take itself seriously. I didn't like the MacGuffin so much, but it was an entertaining con to me. Plus the Laser Dance scene is completely awesome in its nonsensical nature (and features a modified form of capoeira).

True the film has its moments. But the whole film was really just an excuse to get the actors back together again and earn some easy money. Bad movie.

Stomp the yard is another churned from the factory coming off age from a young males perspective gaining respect of his peers and elder tripe that is entirely to popular in modern cinema.
