Watched Never Back Down, was a good film. As the Amazon review says it comes somewhere between The Karate Kid and Fight Club.

Saw Wall-E over the weekend brilliant film definitely worth going to see. Beautifully animated as is expected, but also an engaging and funny story line throughout. So I would highly recommend going to see it.
Also going to see the Dark Knight next monday at the IMAX screen which should be brilliant.

@ Stone Monkey - Just make sure you don't look anything like a kiddy fiddler on your way in! Leave the anorak at home, disguise the squint and the limp!
Yeah, thanks for that. I had planned on wearing my special pulling pants but decided against it.
Anyway. It's a great film and totally wasted on children. And even an old cynic like me was moved at the point when...
Spoiler
Wasted on children.
If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do. If some one maintains that two and two are five, or that Iceland is on the equator, you feel pity rather than anger, unless you know so little of arithmetic or geography that his opinion shakes your own contrary conviction. … So whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants. You aren't that old. It is worth seeing, but go as late as possible, kids films are so easily spoilt by the presence of children.

Watched Sandler's Don't Mess with the Zohan...pretty lame, man. I guess there were a few laughs...but not many. Lots of Sandler rubbing his crotch on/having sex with old women...

Watched Kung Fu Panda, which I thought was pretty funny. A nice parody of the Kung Fu genre I thought

WALL-E was cute fun. Nothing brilliant but entertaining with a few nods to the adult audience. Would have been better if it included gary Oldman with a big fuzzy mustache.
ZOHAN... ehh, it was Sandler fucking about, it had some good laughs and a lot of chuckles. Sandler's pubic hair does not compare with a big fuzzy mustache on gary Oldman however.
THE DARK KNIGHT does in fact have Gary Oldman with a big fuzzy mustache, and thus, is the greatest movie since BATMAN BEGINS.
- Abyss, ...what?

Saw Zoolander last night for the first time. After ages of people telling me it was really good I thought I would give it a go and...it was pants!
Just not very funny.

Hedge, I will give you half an hour. Half an hour to run away. Following the end of that time I shall ruthlessly hunt you down and torture you, resulting in a slow, slow, slooooooooow death. Followed by being sodomised by Tiste (He's not very gentle TT says).

Anything with Ben Stiller or Adam Sandler in it, has a 75% chance of being utter shit. It's strange because they're funny people... their films are just really, really bad... oh, and they are only able to play themselves.

I can't agree: Zoolander is an example of Stiller not playing himself, Sandler on the other hand can only play Adam Sandler, he's not even that good at playing Adam Sandler.

I watched Inside Man. I really enjoyed this when I saw it in the cinema, so was looking forward to it, but it's actually a big dissapointment on re-watch. I guess it could be something to do with already knowing the twist, but the whole thing was just slightly flatter, dunno why really

I hated Inside Man. Since they revealed the bad guys/good guys/what ever got away almost from the start I stopped caring. Also I hated Densel Washington in this film. Generally all the big names were wasted. Remove the stars and you have a very mediochre film that would hardly even had gotten a mention on the DVD market here in Denmark.

Well I guess I would now agree, but I'm confused about the discrepancy of enjoying it in the cinema to barely even bothering to finish it on DVD

I finally saw Rambo (4). There hasn't been a movie like that made since the 80's. I wasn't expecting much but I was a little disappointed. What John Rambo used to accomplish with stealth and a massive bow, he now seems to accomplish with heavy artillery and enemies that blow apart like bags of soup!!

Saw TDK last night, good stuff. Saw Starship troopers today, forgot how crappy the acting is in that movie.

I want to see Tropic Thunder. It might be really really good.
Also, I swear to god I saw Ironman smoking a cigar (without his helmet) in the preview for Watchmen.

Does anybody care about the new X-Files movie? Has anyone seen it? Is it any good?
It has Billy Connolly in it.

@Obdigore: You mean the Comedian?
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.
