Just watched Red Belt.

Possibly the best fighting/martial arts film I've ever seen. Not so much fighting/action wise but in the sense that it's very good, it has all the qualities that Van Dam filns lack.

Watched Hancock this week. Really enjoyed it, a nice fast paced film with plenty of funny moments (unlike most the other super hero films that tend to be too serious). Recommend it.

I'm getting more and more sold on the idea of Hancock.

Heard some bad things about Hellboy 2, haven't seen it though.

I don't know if it's out to the general public, but reviewers have seen it. I imagine you can find a copy by questionable methods.

Why? Why would you ruin what is certain to be an awesome movie with spectacular special effects, by watching a cam version? Just wait two months and catch the R5...

I'll have to check out Redbelt though...I wasn't sure if it was any good or not.

I watched Harold and Kumar 2 - It was decent, had some funny parts, but I really think one needs to be high as a kite to fully enjoy it. NPH was hilarious as usual.

The Fall is two movies stuck together - one profoundly affecting and intimate, yet incomplete and one absolutely gorgeous and complete, but distant.

I'd give it three and a half out of five stars. I disagreed with the doll animation and the emphasis of the beauty over the character interactions in the story-within-the-story.

Lee Pace, the main dude, is going to be a star. If any of you saw The Cell, Hero or any of the several recent movies acclaimed for their visual beauty, many of the scenes in this movie are their equal or better. Tarsem Singh seems to work best in five minute bursts, as if he's still in the music video business.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

I saw it at the weekend. The first half is really good fun take on the super hero genre, the ending is LAME. And I heard there was a trailer sex scene where he shoots a hole in the roof. Not that I went expressly to see that bit :D, but I must have seen a cut version........

I saw this on Sat night (and then dodging the drunken Ralph Lauren and Rockport clad thugs at the Printworks on my way out) and was fairly meh! about it. The ideas were occasionally good, and up until the midpoint worked moderately well. But I couldn't bring myself to care about any of it.

And the director really needs to stop using those extreme close-ups; it's very annoying.
If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do. If some one maintains that two and two are five, or that Iceland is on the equator, you feel pity rather than anger, unless you know so little of arithmetic or geography that his opinion shakes your own contrary conviction. … So whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants. There are a lot of them in the Printworks.

I was inspired by my avatar to watch V for Vendetta again. Haven't seen it for ages, and it's still awesome :D

The bunny-eared hen-party slag would appear to be the mating partner of the Rockport-clad thug; so herds of one follow in the wake of herds of the other.

Saw Hancock this weekend. The plot-twist with the girl he meets totally caught me off guard. I loved the way arrested-development boy got Hancock's attention and became his press agent. The cameo with Nancy Grace was funny and Hancock's change of heart was hilarous "GOOD JOB"!!!

So I thought it was ok, not fantastic, I think Get Smart was better.

Anyone watch HellBoy 2 yet?

Beautifully made film, excellent plots and sub plots, and good acting, and good dialogue.

The final set for the fight scene was a piece of freaking art.

While not everyone is going to want to shell out 10-15 bucks a pop for it in the big theaters, understandbaly so, it is definatly worth seeing on at least the cheap screens to just for the sets and costumes.

Hellboy 2 won't be out in Denmark before september.

EDIT: [I would be tempted to beseech the media gods for alternative means of enjoying this cultural gem]
