CNN reports that Bond #22 will be called "Quantum of Solace"... WTF?

http://www.cnn.com/2008/SHOWBIZ/Movies/01/...m.ap/index.html

I had loved Casino Royale, and Craig as Bond, but isn't the title weird?

I was rather unimpressed with the New Bond (not the actor, the character), found him to be far too thugish assassin than a suave secret agent that he's supposed to be.
It was a good movie, but it wasn't classic Bond.

My two cents.

Casino royale was good except for the shameless and stupid promotion of "professional texas hold-em poker" for 1/2 hour in the middle of the film. That could have been shortened or ommitted completely without detracting from the movie. It was really my only beef...without that scene, they could have had some more plot thrown in. Other than that, it kicked total ass. The opening scene with the parkour through the construction site blew my mind.

I like the new bond. More connery-esque in his ass kickery than roger-moore-esque in his suave-ity. Wow made up like 5 new words there. They all bring their own flavour to the character of Bond. His is just a bit on the grittier side.

as for quantum of solace, I don't know. Isn't as plain-spoken as "man with the golden gun" where the movie's antagonist has a golden gun for a trademark. You could synonymize it with "a measure of comfort" if that helps.

What the hell kind of a title is that?

And yet still, this film cannot be anything other than awesome - Kurylenko and Arterton!

Maybe it refers to the possibility that in some paralelle universe Bond finds Solace for once.

In complete agreeance there - the Bond movies are just silly in my opinion, with the exception of Casino Royale of course :)

I haven't seen a Bond movie since Goldeneye, but the old ones are fun. I would watch the new ones, but jus have never gotten around to it.

Personally The bond Movies aren't too bad.

But I thought Casino Royal completely sucked. I mean the whole thing.
Don't get me wrong I thought Daniel craig does Bond well. And Eva Green was Hot in the movie.
But the plot, action and everything just sucked to complete suckiness that suckiness can suck to.

I saw an advert for Jumper the other day actually. The first half looked like the worst film ever - it's got a guy who suddenly finds he can teleport, and also suddenly discovers he can't act:p On the other hand, then Morgan Freeman turned up looking like a Jedi and trying to kill him with some kind of weird rope thing, and it suddenly looked hilariously good :)
