Heh I just thought of something.

If it was made a subforum in the Inn we could call it "The Abyss" - It would seem fitting.

I saw Sunshine at the weekend. It's good fun although nothing ground breaking. Despite the fact they're trying to sell it on "It's based on science FACT", there are still the usual massive gaping holes in the plot of most sci-fi films. It's not a patch on Alien and it's ripped off that and Event Horizon mostly. But it's still good fun.

Plot holes that bugged me:

The picture in your avatar confuses me... I keep thinking "Ooohh, hot!"... then I try to remember if you are a guy or a girl, wanting the picture to be of you...

Stop making me atracted to you, you filthy bastard! :)

I just saw Shooter. Fairly entertaining, high bodycount stuff, with very little remorse shown by Matt Wahlberg's sniper on the run. Some of the action sequences just screamed CounterStrike though...

Sir Thursday
Don't look now, but I think there's something weird attached to the bottom of my posts.

I watched Sunshine today.
Although there were a few plotholes, it was a well awesome film in my opinion - brilliantly produced and shot, and very well acted.
I liked that it didn't have the whole rigamarole of pointing out facts that are obvious under mild observation - if it was Hollywood produced it'd probably have

Spoiler

I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you.

I just watched, more or less, Wolf Creek.

Talk about a shitty flick. I was flipping back forth between it and SportsCenter. Damn serial killers, always ruining the good times.

Art School Confidential - It wandered around aimlessly for a while then had possibly the worst ending i've ever seen. Flashes of enjoyable stuff. 5/10

Was listening to NPR and was reminded of the screener I saw last night:

Hot Fuzz.

Was already released in the UK and probably Europe. Just came to America today. It was a really really good movie. Brilliant jabs at American cop movies, absolutely spot on humor, and a whole lot of fun. Loved it. I laughed the whole way through. :)

Yeah, it's brilliant, same people who made Shaun of the Dead, which obviously is a zombie movie parody.

While we're at it, see Kopps too - Swedish comedy around the same theme, really great.

Blades of Glory. Freaking hilarious. Cross the Anchorman, Zoolander and Napoleon Dynamite and put it on ice. No more needs to be said. Incredible.

saw curse of the golden flower the other day,

not bad, plots pretty melodramatic, but visually quite an attractive film.
