I saw Ghost Rider.

Very much a B level superhero flick. Nothing very special.

Ennhhhhh... I dislike the psychological implications of any man who get a hardon from the second movie, but meh, whatever. :)

That's a discussion thread all it's own, Rusty. PM me about it if you want me to explain it.

I watched a number of films this weekend, in between rushes to the washroom.

I saw Poseidon, Children of Men, Stranger than Fiction, and something else the I can't remember.

Poseidon was decent disaster flick. Very predictable but hey, it had some cool special effects and Emmy Rossum is fine.

Children of Men was odd. I liked it but I keep hearing folks declaring it "BEST THING EVARR!!111!!!" and comparisons to Blade Runner. Sure, both are dystopia futures but the science fiction element is rather restrained in the former.

Stranger than Fiction really caught me off guard with how much I liked it. Will Ferrell played it very low-key and I really dug it. Also helped me find the great song "Whole Wide World" by Wreckless Erik. Very cool.

Why are you so afraid to lay it bare here? we're ... reasonably adultish.

On that note, pester the mander to make an 'adults only' subforum.

Imagine how completely insane that subforum would get? It would just turn into a dark hole of sexual depravations and pictures of goatse.cx and midgets dancing.

*pestros mandos*

Just do one of those silly things where you have to confirm your brithdate before you get to enter, like all those 'adult' gamesites.

Well if it's even possible to make one of those "mature age/liberal minded/not a christian bigot"-type confirmation pages before you could enter the forum, it might work. It could be added as a sub-forum like the Discussion board used to be.

But still, even though I know I'd spend too much time in there, I think it might still get out of hand. I mean imagine what kind of things would flourish in there? *shudder* :)

Hence its adults only thing. Out of hand is all well and good if there is no whining. Im sure it could be set up as a selective permissions thing too... especially since i cant imagine there'd be all that great a demand to get into it, since most of the forum members never even come south of the top two book forums. It probably would take an admin all of thirty seconds to do it too.
